How to Do an Out of State Fundraiser?

In summary, there are several options for collecting payments for an online fundraiser. These include setting up an online payment platform, creating a fundraiser website, using social media, QR codes, accepting bank transfers, offering cash on delivery, and hosting an in-person event. Make sure to keep track of all payments and provide receipts to donors. Good luck with your fundraiser!

I am in South Korea and my high school band booster club has asked me to do a fundraiser for them. :D How would I collect payment other than everyone will only be able to buy online?

I would keep that as your only payment option for them. It's not unusual (at least in my area) for it to be run like that. Everyone just goes online, orders and pays - EASY! They can have it shipped directly to them; or the boosters can choose to act as host, have the show sent to them, pack the orders and then let everyone know where & when the pick up window is. At our school it can be a teacher's lounge, auditorium, gym, etc - any room that's available, basically! They've also had the pick up location outside under the canopy. Just make sure the booster know they'll have to pack the individual orders if they act as host and it ships to them. They can also choose to do a raffle for the Host Special and sell raffle tickets at school events - that would make more money for them. Good Luck!

1. Set up an online payment platform: The easiest way to collect payment for an online fundraiser is to set up an online payment platform like PayPal, Venmo, Stripe, or Square. These platforms allow you to create a payment link or button that you can share with your potential donors. They also provide a secure way for people to make payments using their credit or debit cards.2. Create a fundraiser website: You can also create a website specifically for your fundraiser using platforms like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress. This website can include information about your fundraiser, the products or services you are offering, and a payment portal where people can make payments.3. Use social media: Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter can be great tools for promoting your fundraiser and collecting payments. You can create posts about your fundraiser and include a link to your online payment platform or website.4. Use QR codes: You can create QR codes that people can scan to make payments. These codes can be included on flyers, posters, or social media posts. When scanned, the code will direct the donor to a payment page where they can make their payment.5. Accept bank transfers: If you are unable to set up an online payment platform, you can also accept bank transfers. Provide your bank account information to your donors and ask them to make a transfer directly to your account. Keep in mind that this method may not be as secure as using an online payment platform.6. Offer cash on delivery: If you are selling physical products, you can offer a cash on delivery option where people can pay for their purchases when they receive them. This may not be the most efficient method, but it can work for those who are not comfortable making online payments.7. Host an event: If possible, you can also host an offline event where people can come and make payments in person. This can be a great way to connect with your donors and promote your fundraiser.Remember to keep track of all payments and send out receipts to your donors. Good luck with your fundraiser!
