My MIL has been talking about doing a fundraiser for her senior center travel fund for the last couple of months. Well, she just called me and booked January 24th. Then she said she want's me to stay up there (she lives 2-3 hours away) and do another fundraiser for Rainbow Girls on Sunday, January 25th. Well, of course, I would love to do that. :D

She is really excited because for the senior center she has already had 25-30 people say that they want to be there and they are stoked! She wants me to have at least a $2000 fundraiser, so I can have a great start for the year. Now to start working on the flyer. It is going to be published in the newspaper and other venues. Gotta love her!

I don't want to get my hopes up to much but January was lookin' a little bleak. Now I with this excitement I can get on the phone and book the rest of the month. :)

To prepare for two fundraisers in one weekend, start by organizing your schedule. Confirm the dates and times with both organizations. Create a checklist of items needed for each fundraiser, including products, promotional materials, and any necessary equipment. Reach out to your team for support, and ensure you have a solid plan for setup and logistics for both events.

How can I effectively promote both fundraisers?

Utilize social media, email newsletters, and local community boards to promote both fundraisers. Create engaging posts that highlight the benefits of attending and supporting each cause. Consider offering incentives for attendees, such as discounts or giveaways, to encourage participation. Collaborate with the organizations to leverage their networks for wider reach.

What products should I focus on for the fundraisers?

Choose products that are popular and have a high potential for sales. Consider seasonal items or those that align with the themes of the fundraisers. Highlight products that can be used for upcoming holidays or events, and ensure you have a variety of price points to cater to different budgets. Demonstrating the products during the events can also boost sales.

How can I manage my time effectively during the weekend?

Time management is crucial when handling two fundraisers. Create a detailed schedule that allocates specific time slots for each event, including setup, the actual fundraiser, and teardown. Use timers or alarms to keep you on track, and delegate tasks to team members to ensure everything runs smoothly. Prioritize your tasks and remain flexible to adapt as needed.

What should I do after the fundraisers to ensure success?

After the fundraisers, follow up with both organizations to thank them for their support and collaboration. Collect feedback to understand what worked well and what could be improved for future events. Send thank-you notes to attendees and consider sharing the total amount raised to celebrate the success. This will help build relationships for future fundraisers and maintain engagement with your customer base.
