do you have access to another computer to see if it's a problem with hotmail vs. your internet connection? Maybe a neighbor, friend, or library?

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I can't access my Hotmail account?

If you're unable to access your Hotmail account, try resetting your password by clicking on the "Forgot password?" link on the login page. Follow the prompts to verify your identity and create a new password. If you still have trouble, check if your account has been temporarily locked due to suspicious activity.

Why am I not receiving emails in my Hotmail inbox?

There could be several reasons for not receiving emails in your Hotmail inbox. Check your spam or junk folder to see if the emails are being filtered there. Additionally, ensure that your inbox is not full, as this can prevent new emails from coming in. You may also want to review your email filters and rules to ensure they are not redirecting incoming messages.

How can I recover deleted emails from my Hotmail account?

If you've accidentally deleted emails, you can recover them by going to the "Deleted" folder in your Hotmail account. If the emails are not there, look for a "Recover deleted messages" option, which allows you to restore emails that were deleted within the last 30 days. After that period, recovery may not be possible.

What should I do if I suspect my Hotmail account has been hacked?

If you suspect your Hotmail account has been hacked, immediately change your password to secure your account. Review your account settings for any unauthorized changes, such as altered recovery options or email forwarding. Additionally, enable two-factor authentication for added security and check for any suspicious activity in your sent items or inbox.

How can I fix issues with Hotmail not syncing with my mobile device?

If your Hotmail account is not syncing with your mobile device, start by checking your internet connection. Ensure that your email app is updated to the latest version. You can also try removing the account from your device and then re-adding it. If the problem persists, check the account settings to ensure they match the recommended settings for Hotmail.
