well i have may or may not have a show on saturday, can't get a hold of the host anyway, i have pretty much exhausted my list of 100. i have done mystery host shows, 24 in 24, offered the specials for free. no one wants to have a show they just want to buy stuff when someone has a show. but at the sametime i have friends say oh invite me to your next show and then they don't come for whatever reason.

i have thought about making flyers and mailing them to random people in my town, and taking catalogs to the hair, and nail salons.

anything else i can do?

Do a search in the files for the "pampered business" idea. This is where you pamper a business by bringing in a recipe and catalogs and order forms. Some people have had success with this.

If people just want to come to shows why not do a show every other month and invite all the regular attendees? Or try mega shows that are held at your house where all the hosts need to do is invite the guests and contribute to the cost of the ingredients?

Can you check the local newspapers and see if there are any craft fairs/ shoppers boutiques that you can be a vendor in? At the fairs have a flyer that says "Book a show with me and get a trifle bowl for free". If they set a date that day I give them a gift like that. It worked for me around the holidays and now I am going to be doing some outdoor festivals and do the same thing.

The problem with giving things away is they like the inital idea and then sometimes do not end up keeping the show date they booked. I have that happen all the time.

Those who decide to book first get first choice of which necklace they want. They wear around their neck so you can see who already wants a show.

Just another idea....check with local charities and see if they would be interested in doing a Fundraiser. Or, how about the Little League and Girl's Softball Leagues? They always need $$ thru the summer.

Have you called all of your past customers (all the guests and hosts)? Remember to build rapport first, then ask about booking....

Just a few thoughts!
