I had a guest who booked a party 3 weeks from the party she was invited to. Low and behold, she didn't get me her guest list until Thursday and because of working over time her host packet and invites didn't get in the mail until Saturday. This means it will be Tuesday before I talk to her and only 3 days before her party! I don't want to over whelm her or myself but I feel like it's alot of stuff to cover only in one phone call. Any suggestions?

By the way she literally only gave me 8 names! I tried to encourage her for me but that seemed to be it. I'm crossing my fingers on this one. She was hestitant about even inviting the past host and her daugther since they had just been to a party. I did talk to her about inviting everyone because no one cares if they are invited. I had even talked to the past host and she wants to make it so that she can see her friend's new house. Some people... They just don't understand or listen!

That sucks. I would keep your host coaching simple--talk about continuing to invite and tell others to bring friends and decide on a recipe. You can talk about host benefits when you get to her house or before you leave after her show.

I did send her an email last night with some small suggestions and that I would call her on Tuesday to go over her packet!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is host coaching and why is it important 3 days before the party?

Host coaching is the process of guiding and supporting your host to ensure a successful party. Three days before the party is a critical time to reinforce the details, encourage excitement, and ensure that the host feels prepared. This helps maximize attendance and sales during the event.

What should I remind my host about three days before the party?

Three days before the party, remind your host about the party details such as the date, time, and location. Encourage them to reach out to their guests with reminders and to share any last-minute details, such as the theme or any special promotions. It's also a good time to discuss any last-minute preparations, like setting up the space or preparing food.

How can I help my host create excitement among their guests?

To create excitement, suggest that your host send out a fun reminder message to their guests, highlighting what they can expect at the party, such as new products, recipes, or exclusive offers. Encourage them to share personal stories about why they are excited for the party and to create a buzz on social media if applicable.

What if my host is feeling overwhelmed three days before the party?

If your host is feeling overwhelmed, reassure them that it's normal to feel this way. Offer to help with specific tasks, such as creating a guest list or drafting messages to send out. Remind them to keep things simple and focus on having fun rather than perfection. Your support can help alleviate their stress.

What final preparations should be made in the last three days?

In the last three days, ensure that the host has confirmed the guest list and sent out reminders. Discuss any food or drink preparations, as well as the setup of the party space. Make sure they have all necessary materials, such as catalogs, order forms, and any products for demonstration. A checklist can be helpful to keep everything organized.
