How do you hang the banner at the expos? I know some have home made stands. I really wanted to know how to hang it from the booth divders/backdrop. Are their special hooks I need to buy?

Buy some S hooks. Or I use safety pins to pin it to my table. In a pinch, I always have clear packing tape.

my director has a banner from Merrill - an older one that is - and she will buy shower curtain hooks with the seasonal colors on them

If you are doing a professional event they will have drapes and signs hung with S hooks. I just use the s hooks and now collect them from these events.

If you are at a smaller event and against the wall I have used velcro sticky fasteners from 3M. They are with the 3M command products.

Otherwise you will need some kind of stand.

You could make a stand with PVC pipes and elbows. I am going to have my hubby make me one to take to shows, so I can hang my banner up behind my table.

I keep some zip ties (AKA tie wraps) in the box with my banner. I use the long ones, so they're likely to fit around whatever I need them to.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of hanging a banner at my trade show booth?

Hanging a banner at your trade show booth helps to attract attention, increase brand visibility, and communicate your message effectively. It can also create a professional appearance and provide essential information about your products or services, making it easier for potential customers to understand what you offer.

What materials are best for trade show banners?

Common materials for trade show banners include vinyl, fabric, and mesh. Vinyl is durable and weather-resistant, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor events. Fabric banners offer a more upscale look and can be easily folded for transport. Mesh banners allow for airflow, reducing the risk of damage in windy conditions.

How should I design my trade show banner?

Your banner design should be clear, concise, and visually appealing. Use bold colors and large fonts to ensure readability from a distance. Include your logo, key messages, and a call to action. Avoid cluttering the banner with too much text or imagery, as simplicity often leads to better engagement.

What is the best height to hang a banner at a trade show?

The ideal height for hanging a banner is typically between 7 to 10 feet above the ground. This height allows for visibility over crowds while ensuring that the banner is easily readable. Make sure to check the specific regulations of the trade show venue, as there may be guidelines regarding banner placement.

Can I use a banner stand instead of hanging a banner?

Yes, using a banner stand is a great alternative to hanging a banner. Banner stands are portable, easy to set up, and can be adjusted to different heights. They also allow for flexibility in placement within your booth, making it easier to direct traffic and engage with attendees.
