I have a show in June and she wants to do kabobs on the grill and use bbq tools. Great! I need a easy and inexpensive recipe to do kabob's with using chicken.
Any help would be great!

I would do basics, chicken, onion, green peppers, zuccini, cherry tomatoes..etc...and cook on the grill. I may put some Olive Oil (just a little) over my veggies and salt and pepper...it's one of my favorite things on the grill. That's the best I have.

How long have you live in Manchester? I have family there...do you know any Prescott's or Walsh's??

Kabob recipesbump...

I have the same situation this coming weekend. She wants kabobs and she's not specific on the type of meat.

So do you do the tenderizing, rubs, etc. before putting them on the grill? What products did you talk up--all BBQ stuff? I was thinking of showing the barbecue stuff I DO have and also showing off other outdoorsy stuff like the chillzane rectangle server and the quick-stir pitcher, etc.

Any advice or tips would help...THANKS :)

My host recently did vegetables like squash, cucumbers, zucchini and wrapped them in tin foil with lots of butter, salt, pepper and garlic. It was great!

If I did Kabobs I would just do chicken with onions and bell pepper and sprinkle it with the BBQ rub. You could do all kinds of thinks with chicken. It is good with potatoes on it too. One of our local chicken places does one with chicken, onion, bell pepper and pickles that is good.

Yep! They are good too. My mom eats them all the time! If we have a fair or anything around here they put pickles on them too.:D

Perhaps that's a southern thing? I just don't enjoy a warm pickle...

Even on sandwiches, if they get too warm and soft, I will just take them off!

No smart comments from the peanut gallery, either!! LOL

It probably is a Southern Thang! We eat pickles fried in a batter down here!:D

I just did some chicken and veggie kabobs last week I used the marinade recipe from the grilling card collection for "Great Grilled Vegetables" I put the marinade in the BBQ Basting bottle and jsut brushed it on as I turned them. It really was good.

I used chicken, red onion, yellow squash, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes.

They looked pretty too!:)

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients do I need for the Grilling Kabobs recipe?

For the Grilling Kabobs, you will need chicken breast, bell peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and your choice of skewers (wooden or metal). You can also add your favorite marinades or seasonings for extra flavor.

How do I prepare the chicken and vegetables for the kabobs?

Start by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Then, chop the bell peppers and onions into similar-sized chunks. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning. Once everything is prepped, you can marinate the chicken and vegetables in olive oil and seasonings for at least 30 minutes before assembling the kabobs.

What is the best way to grill the kabobs?

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and veggies. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).

Can I use other proteins or vegetables in this kabob recipe?

Absolutely! This kabob recipe is versatile. You can substitute chicken with beef, shrimp, or tofu. Additionally, feel free to use any vegetables you enjoy, such as zucchini, mushrooms, or asparagus. Just keep in mind that different proteins and vegetables may require different cooking times.

How can I serve the Grilling Kabobs?

The Grilling Kabobs can be served on their own or with sides like rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad. You can also drizzle them with a sauce or serve with dips like tzatziki or a spicy salsa for added flavor. They make a great dish for barbecues, family gatherings, or a quick weeknight dinner!
