This email I just received made me laugh - I had to share it!

(A little background - she booked a November Show, then cancelled it, and wanted to turn it into a December Catalog Show - and then I never heard another peep from her until now!)

Hi Becky,

I am trying to put a catalog show together for February and will get it to you by Friday or Saturday.
Does that work for you? I so wanted to have a show this month, there are some awesome deals and most importantly, I just have to get the knife set @ 60% off! (My son is getting married on Oct 9 and he loves my knives) I decided on the catalog show because I just couldn't fit a real show in this month. Could you please send me the link for an on-line show again? I can't seem to find the one you sent me earlier this winter. I have a few friends I'd like to send it to.

Also, will you drop me a note when they have the cookware on sale again? My son would also like the 12" fry pan like mine! Maybe I can do a real show then.

Funny! I'm sending her a new show link...and also info on doing a Bridal Shower! :D

People are funny. This shows what can heppen when you graciously let people "flake" on you.

Love those kind of news! Just goes to show you that just because people don't call back doesn't mean they've forgotten about you, or they hate you (which is what my mind tries to tell me).

Love it! A Catalog, A Wedding Registry and another show in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a "Funny Email Exchange" in the context of booking a Pampered Chef show?

A "Funny Email Exchange" refers to a light-hearted and humorous series of emails between a Pampered Chef consultant and a potential host. This exchange often includes playful banter, jokes, or funny anecdotes to make the process of booking a show more enjoyable and engaging for the host.

How can humor help in booking a Pampered Chef show?

Using humor can create a relaxed atmosphere, making potential hosts feel more comfortable and open to the idea of hosting a show. It can also help build rapport and establish a friendly relationship, increasing the likelihood that they will agree to host.

What are some examples of funny email lines to use when booking a show?

Examples of funny email lines include, "I promise not to judge your cooking skills if you promise not to judge my dance moves at the show!" or "Let’s make a deal: I’ll bring the kitchen gadgets, and you bring the snacks. Together, we’ll create culinary magic (or at least some tasty chaos)!"

Is it appropriate to use humor in all email exchanges with potential hosts?

While humor can be effective, it’s important to gauge the personality of the potential host. If they respond positively to light-heartedness, continue with it. However, if they seem more serious or reserved, it may be best to keep the tone more professional and straightforward.

How can I follow up after a funny email exchange if the host hasn't responded?

You can send a friendly follow-up email that references the previous exchange, such as, "I hope my last email didn’t scare you away! I promise my cooking skills are better than my jokes. Let me know if you’re still interested in hosting a show!" This keeps the tone light while gently reminding them of your invitation.
