That's my story and I'm sticking with it...

I have some corn to use, and maybe some broccolli or zucchini. Not sure about a starch...
Becky, your Menards comment made me smile. We don't have one here, used to drive to Jackson from AA when we lived in MI, but that jingle would also get SO stuck in my head. It is pretty annoying after a couple of hours!
AnnieBee said:Not too bad yet, but I've got kids distracting me so it hasn't taken root yet! That is cute about Micah. Jon can't wait until Menards makes its way over this way...
I agree with the corn as starch, but I'm not sure DH would!! I am trying to cut back on my carbs (I have gained so much weight in the last 18 months -). I might make some bread, but then I'll have to resist it!
AnnieBee said:Yep, totally not fair! I have to admit Jon has come along way from his Dutch heritage! Raised on "meat and potatoes", but now he's pretty adventurous!
Ordering take-out can save you time and reduce stress, especially on busy nights. It allows you to enjoy a variety of cuisines without the hassle of meal prep and cleanup. Additionally, it can be a great way to support local restaurants and try new dishes that you might not typically make at home.
To make healthier choices when ordering take-out, look for restaurants that offer lighter menu options, such as salads, grilled proteins, and whole grains. You can also ask for dressings and sauces on the side, choose smaller portion sizes, and opt for steamed or roasted vegetables instead of fried options.
Meals that travel well and maintain their quality during transport are best for take-out. Popular options include pizza, sushi, Asian stir-fries, pasta dishes, and sandwiches. It's also helpful to choose meals that can be easily reheated if needed.
To make take-out feel special, consider setting the table nicely, adding some candles, or playing your family's favorite music. You can also involve your family in the ordering process by letting everyone choose their favorite dishes, making it a fun and interactive experience.
To save money on take-out, consider ordering from local restaurants that offer specials or discounts. You can also look for family meal deals or combo options that provide more food for a lower price. Additionally, using loyalty programs or apps that offer cashback can help you save on future orders.
