My food chopper and bar pan was washed with a batch of spagetti sauce and now is pinky-orange. Does anyone have a cleaning tip to make them white again?

Soft Scrub with bleach works well on many of our products.

BTW, did you mean bar pan or bar board?

You can make a paste out of dishwasher powder (yes, they still make it :p ), and put it on the stain. Let it dry, then run it through the dishwasher again. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries, but it always gets the stain out for me!

HTHSIID!

Soak the chopper and other plastic parts in a sink of hot water with a little bleach in it for about 10 minutes.

Bar pans I haven't dealt with yet - baking soda?

If it is the bar pan - Let a baking soda paste sit on the bar pan for 10 minutes or so, then scrub the heck out of it with the kitchen brush and really hot water.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective methods for removing stains from stainless steel cookware?

To remove stains from stainless steel cookware, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stained areas, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub gently with a non-abrasive sponge. For tougher stains, you can also use vinegar or lemon juice, which help to break down the stains and restore shine.

How can I remove burnt-on food from my non-stick pans?

To remove burnt-on food from non-stick pans, fill the pan with warm soapy water and let it soak for about 15-30 minutes. After soaking, use a soft sponge to gently scrub the area. If stains persist, you can create a paste of baking soda and water, apply it to the stains, and let it sit before scrubbing again.

What should I avoid when cleaning wooden kitchen tools?

When cleaning wooden kitchen tools, avoid soaking them in water or putting them in the dishwasher, as excessive moisture can cause warping and cracking. Instead, wash them by hand with mild soap and warm water, and dry them immediately with a clean cloth. To maintain their condition, periodically apply mineral oil to keep the wood hydrated.

How can I get rid of stains on plastic containers?

To remove stains from plastic containers, try soaking them in a solution of warm water and white vinegar for about 30 minutes. For tougher stains, you can use a paste of baking soda and water, applying it directly to the stained areas. Scrubbing gently with a soft sponge should help lift the stains without damaging the plastic.

Are there any natural remedies for cleaning glass cookware?

Yes, natural remedies for cleaning glass cookware include using a mixture of baking soda and water to form a paste, which can be applied to the stained areas. Let it sit for a while before scrubbing gently. Additionally, vinegar can be used to remove grease and stains, as it helps to cut through residue and leave the glass sparkling clean.
