I have a show on Saturday with a group that has been to a number of my shows in the last few months. I am trying to figure out how to format the show so i dont bore them to death, since they have all heard about most of the products I will demonstrate. Any ideas on how to make it different and keep their attention???? Any ideas would be wonderful!!!

Thanks!

Have you done an ice cream sandwich demo since that is the guest special this month? I haven't, but I think that would be good. You could even let each person make their own. How about a stir-fry dish in the Exec family skillet? I haven't done either of them, but I think that would be fun. Another option I've considered but not done is you could grill 3 chicken breasts using the 3 different rubs if you have them and serve chopped over a salad. I don't have the large SA bowl or I'd do this one. HTH!

Yes!!!I have been doing the "no cook" shows and adding my own twist. I had a repeat group myself last night and they loved it. They said it was a nice change.

Here is what I do:
As guest come in I give them a lapboard with catalog, order form and survey sheet. They can look over it while waiting for other guests to arrive.

When everyone arrives I tell them that they can go and fix themselves a plate. I bring with me the Hot Pizza Dip and bread from the bread tube. I also make a pull apart bread when I get to the hosts house, but I have it ready when the guests get there and don't demo it. I can buy all this in bulk, so it doesn't end up costing much to make.

After the guests sit down I tell them that they are eating on the Outdoor Party Plates (that I bring with me, I have two sets) and talk about some of the neat things you can do with them. Put your cup in them, put dip in a prep bowl, put ketchup for the kids etc.. I also tell them how the insulated tote kept the dip hot from the time I made it at my house till I got to the show. It holds all stones and the big SA bowl.

Then I talk about the can opener. I save my lids at home and bring them to pass around so everyone can feel how smooth the edges are. After that I pick up the kitchen sheers and talk about how strong they are and then I cut through the can lid like it's butter. I also tell how you can cut through chicken bones, pennies and that they are self sharpening.

I tell how I made the pull apart bread and show how clean the pan came. Then I put the ice cube in (after the pan has had time to cool) and I pass it around so they can feel how cold the whole pan gets and not just the bottom. I also just talk about how great the cookware is.

I bring the kitchen timer and talk about how you can use it not only as a timer, but as a clock or to count up. I show how you can hang it, sit it or clip it. You can clip it on your clothes if you need to go outside and do something while something is in the oven.

I show some of the new stuff. The basket liner, the sillicone basting brush and the microfiber towel. I passed the towel around for everyone to feel. Then I take my small batter bowl with two cups of water in it and put the towel in it. It soaks up all water! I used the small batter bowl because it is the guest special for next month.

Then I show the three host specials for next month.

By then everyone is done eating, so we play a game. I take Monopoly money with me. I tell the guests I need them to say one of their favorite products, what page it is on and why they like it. For every item they mention, they get a dollar. I let them go on until it looks like they are running out of things to talk about. Then I have them count up to see who has the most, and that person gets free shipping on their order.

My first show was $450 and I had one booking. My show last night (this is this groups 3rd show together) was $300 (she hasn't closed yet) and I got 4 bookings.

The best part is how fast it is and how there is almost no clean up when I get home. So far both of my hosts have washed my Party Plates, so all I have when I get home is the mini baker, the spreader and two SA plates. Last night my show started a little after 7 and I was home by 9. It was great!!:D

I almost forgot!!I also show how to use the ice cream sandwich maker and I put an ice cube in the ice cream scoop and show how fast it starts to melt. I tip the ice cream scoop over to the side a little and let the water pour into my hand. Everyone ooh's and aah's.

I like to do some different games occasionally if I have a repeat group. You can do a search here. I like the 'left, right game' the 'queen of the shoppers' and the 'point game'.
jenniferlynne I like your ideas also! For the summer months I'm really considering the no-cooking format.
If you're cooking, you could maybe get the guests involved using the products & helping you with the demo. If you've used stoneware recipes before, try using the cookware more too.
Just advise from one KS girl to another;)

Let them use the toolsI have two groups that I've done repeat shows for. Most of them own about as much of the catalog as I do! I made-up my own version of the Pampered Chef Kitchen Olympics and set up stations for them to use the tools. See attached file. My last show had nine people there so I divided them into 3 teams of 3. I had one team start at task 1 (1-12), one team at task 4 (4-12 then 1-3), and the last team at task 9 (9-12 then 1-8). I was able to use two rooms in my host's home (kitchen & dinning/living room), I divided the items into the different areas and no two sequential items were next to each other (they had to go back and forth between the rooms). I made little tent cards with the Item Number to go next to the station. It was tons of fun watching them scramble to get to the next station and use the tools.

I demonstrated the tasks for them before they got started. And gave the winners each a Twixit! clip. Afterward I went around the room and asked them if they used a new tool, what it was, and what was their favorite tool in the challenge.

I had a very short demo afterward. I had everything ready for the Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza. I had the salad dressing in the BBQ Basting Bottle so I could show them how easy it is to use to spread on the pizza crust (I had one of the guests do that part for me). Then had the rest of the topping already mixed in my stainless bowl and added that to the top of the crust. I had made the Banana Cream Brownie Squares which they decorated for me (task 12) and I showed them how to use the egg slicer to slice bananas for the garnish.

That was it. Tons of fun and clean-up was a breeze! You can change this up to include the tools that you have. I had thought about including the garlic press, but didn't want my host's home to reek of garlic!

I have done 11 shows for the same group!! I started have one/ month with them so I did a collection of shows. One month I made appetizers, the next month I made an entree, the next we did salads, then desserts. People always came because they didn't want to miss part of the "set" If you make it more like a cooking class people will be more likely to come and see what "we" are making. Theme shows also get the same people interested in coming back again and again.

Linda,

I will be trying that Olymipcs out. That sounds great!!!

It was tons of fun. I've done it twice and am doing it again this weekend. It really opens the door for more conversation on the tools and I got a few bookings from it too.

Increased Order Totals too!

Forgot to mention that my sales increased too! Everyone was talking about the products and how much they loved them! Show total was over $500!

This is a really cool idea. So does the first host agree to appetizers and then you tell everyone at the show if someone books you will make the next thing? Just wondering how you got this going. I have two cousin's that have each had 3 shows in less than a year. I wish I had thought of something like this for them.

pamperedlinda that sounds really fun! I will have to try that sometime:D

I just happened to do the hot pizza dip at one show, then someone booked and had an entree in mind. The I wanted to do different salads (spring time) so my next booking with that group did salads, and no one booked during the show. Right before everyone was leaving I said "Ok, no one booked yet and doesn't anyone want to make the dessert??" Three booked, one had the dessert done at her show then I went back through with new appetizers and entrees.

Thanks for all the great ideas!!! I loved them all. We have already picked the recipe, Berries and Cream Brownie Squares. I think i might just have them help me make the recipe. I am in the middle of moving, so my brain is out of ideas!!! Thanks again!

These are awesome ideas and JenniferLynne - thanks for your outline. I have a big show on Sunday that I am really excited about. We already have 14 people confirmed and she has some outside orders too! And this is a group that I have done two parties for but both were last summer - still it will be good to have something totally different to do. I am doing the 3 rubs on chicken breasts and salads - and setting up and ice-cream sandwich station. The chicken will be cooked when they arrive and they can build their own salad and make their sandwich. I'm gonna let the sandwiches freeze while we talk about products. Easy and simple and I can't wait! I am excited about trying out the "entree" & "dessert" booking idea since salads are sorta an appetizer...all these girls work together so this will be good! I just printed out the whole thread for my notebook. :)
