it's a rich man's world...
Well, I gotta tell you all, since I have been out of work and collecting unemployment I have learned some really neat things. Did you know that almost 93% of all millionaires are miserable! They spend so much time worrying about the money markets, stocks and interest rates that they rarely see anything in their worlds except bank statements and dividend checks. Last night I had a party in Cudahy, Wisconsin. Since I do not work full time, I really enjoy myself now more than ever before. I may work my butt off and sweat up a storm but I really enjoy the company of the hosts and their guests. Now, it was about 4 miles south of where I live and we had awful storms here. In fact, I drove home in the middle of a tornado warning! Got home just in the nick of time and unloaded my car just as it started to blow and pour. The sky was so full of thunder and lightning that it seemed almost continuous. It was the most beautiful thing I had seen in a long time. Sounds weird but since I do not work except to put out resumes and do interviews that do not seem to pan out, I have started to take notice of all the wonderful things around me that as a person who worked 40 to 60 hours a week and did PC parties, never really noticed before. After I got home, I parked my butt on my front porch out of the rain and just watched in amazement. That was until it became so bad, I had to go in. I wonder how much I have missed in the last 13 years? What is something you have noticed around you that you as a non-millionaire makes you stop for at least a moment to enjoy it? What are some of your simple pleasures?
