I can't believe that a consultant would be that sneaky - to take the host benefits! And not even tell the host that there were any. Good grief! Of course, the host should have seen the chart in the back of the catalog.
I'd definitely call HO with this situation and have them investigate the other consultant.
Totally agree with you Ann, how rotten of the consultant, yet the host should have seen the chart!?!

Very interesting.

I did have one host that did a catty show (one of dad's coworkers) that was not at all interested in the host benefits, just happy to help with my biz. It was only a $200 show anyway and she said if I could use the FPV to get items for my biz that was fine with her. So of course I did since I had her blessing.

The only other cases like that I've had when I've had craft fair orders, and have put them in my mom's name instead of consultant as host and she and I split the benefits between us (she's a really good customer!).

And one of my other best customers, one of my best friends at work and my top host ever, I am using her name to submit some orders so that she can take advantage of the stoneware host special (she wants to eventually replace all her other stuff!) and extend her discount & booking benefit on a few slow to book (she had like 4 bookings from her aug show!). She's fine with me using the free value since I'm doing the work on getting the orders. So again, we are splitting the benefits.

I wouldn't take any benefits unless the person whose name it was in was aware and fine. Obviously this woman didn't know. Poor lady!

My vote is to call HO on Mondayl... let us know what happends...

That is crazy It is amazing what some consultants do.
I did a show and the hostess was saying that the consultant passed out on Feb 28 the new cattalogs and told them they could order from either catalog BUT the hostess did not get the benefits from the spring catalog plus it took them 3 months to get thier other stuff

SO, did you call HO? What did they say? I'm dying to know!

Definitely call the HO today! Everyone must think it's closed for the holiday. I just had to call twice and both times they picked up on the FIRST ring!!

The show may not have been submitted in the "real" host name if this is the case. That may be why it is not showing up under her name!

I can see people not knowing all of the benefits if the consultant does not explain to them. I have had many host who are schocked at what all they get. That is why I make sure to explain everything to them.

So, am in understanding that she has hosted more then one show with NO FPV being given. I cannot belive she has not looked at the back of the catalog!

I agree with someone else, I alway ask WHAT DO I GET for hosting! I host for MYSELF! ha!

Update....I spoke to her and she wants me to do whatever it takes to find out what is going on. She is getting all the information for me, before I call HO about it.

Good for you! You probably have a customer for life!

Awsome it's best to make sure you have ALL the info before you call. I hope that this customer receive something from HO over this. And I bet you will have your self a wonderful customer out of it:)

This situation is a great example of both what to and what not to do for customers. If you can make it right for her, she'll definitely be loyal to you!

Omgosh! I hope you get that info and turn that previous consultants little BUTT OVER! That just pisses me off! I can't believe someone would STEAL from ppl like that! GRRRRRR

WowI hope she has a receipt or something to prove it.
The consultant might have just entered it in with another name or with her own name to get the benefits!
Please keep us updated, that's horrible! I can't believe someone would do that. I sometimes bend over backwards to make sure my hosts get the best possible deal. I even mess around with the half price items, discount and FPV to get them the best deal for everything they want to purchase.

How sad. :( But good for you, you will have a loyal and trusting customer and I'm sure she will refer you to her friends and family! :D

I had forgotten about this. I would love to know an update too.

Darn....I thought I would get an update as well....

Leslie, where are you??? We need an update!! :)

Just read this story, btw....that is totally unbelievable! I wouldn't even dream of doing something like that!

I was gonna say...when we were in Okinawa, I heard about someone keeping the money a host paid her. Actually it was a girl in our cluster who did it....I am pretty sure she got black balled.......

I posted an update on the other thread, but I forgot to add that she never did produce a receipt or remember the consultant's name.
