I'm sure the recipe is right under my nose, but I can't find it. When I'm putting the cookie dough and the snickers bar in the saute pan, do I then put it in the oven or on the stove top??

Chocolate Chunk Skillet Cookie

18 oz refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
2 bars (1.5-2 oz each) favorite chocolate candy

350 degree oven. Press cookie dough into bottom of 10 inch skillet. Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Cut candy bars into 1/4 inch slices and arrange over dough. Bake 25-30 minutes (golden color but center is still soft). Cool 10 minutes and cut into wedges (you can slide it out of pan first). Serve with ice cream.

I just realized you titled this "cookie in saute pan" - is the recipe I put here the one you wanted? Or is there another one?

You could do this one in the 8" saute pan by cutting the recipe in half. ...well maybe 3/4ths.

I believe this is the one. I know that I've seen the recipe, but I've never done it myself. I had the opportunity to see it demonstrated at a cluster meeting last night in the 8 inch saute pan. The demonstrator makes the cookie to show how easy clean up is with the executive set of cookware. Thank you!!!!!

Oh, this would be good to do along side a DCB recipe. One question. When sliding out the cookie (onto a SA of course), is it pretty easy? Do you just tip the pan and slide with a spatula or something? This will help to demo the chopper for the nuts, the cookware and the forged cutlery to cut the candy bar. I'm thinking snickers would be the easiest to use, a milkyway would be yummy with the caramel. Hmm, I may have to try this.

BTW - was this in a season's best? I'm curious if there happens to be a picture.

In the SBRCs that far back (2003) there weren't pics. Or if there were, it was only 1 recipe (usually the cover recipe) that had pics.

Easy to slide outWe had this recipe done in the 8 inch saute pan tonight. It slid right onto the plate with just a little push of the spatula to loosen it. We had cut up rolo caramel candy on it. Was Delish! HTH.

OMG...I never saw this recipe before, but what a great way to show off the cookware! It would be great for the PMS theme!

Thank you!

I sold a couple of the 8 inch saute pans due to this cookie recipe. I'm glad I tried it.
