I am thinking about getting rid of my website... if I do and want it back I just hope that my name is still free and sign up again right?
I started working full time and just want to stay active the next few months while my family and I adjust. So spending the month to renew next month seems silly.

As far as signing your site back up, it's always easy. BUT....I would really think about getting rid of it. If you are going back to work f/t, perhaps your PWS would be one of the easiest ways to still get orders pulled in without you having to do hardly anything. Not only the outlet (which is so cool), but because you can perhaps push catalog/internet shows and just have people use your site. Just a thought - but if I were you, I would do the good old 2 columns on a piece of paper, pros/cons and weigh it out. Best of luck to you!

personally I would think it would be the last thing I'd let go. I get internet orders randomly from family and friends from the outlet and it's a great way for hosts to have catalog shows which are great if you're working FT. The website for the holidays is amazing too!! it's got such great ideas this winter and seem to be a great way to get additional orders without a physical cooking show. Up to you of course.. but I'd keep it and send out emails when the outlet is updated and share that there are great holiday gift ideas on it. You never know who might just want to order and not bother calling you or finding a host. Good luck with your decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the main reasons I might consider getting rid of my website?

There are several reasons you might consider getting rid of your website, including high maintenance costs, low traffic and engagement, lack of time to manage it effectively, or if you find that social media platforms are more effective for your direct sales efforts. Additionally, if your website is not generating sales or leads, it may be more beneficial to focus your efforts elsewhere.

How will getting rid of my website affect my business?

Removing your website could impact your business in various ways. You may lose a platform for showcasing your products and services, which can affect your visibility. However, if you transition to using social media or other marketing channels effectively, you might find that you can maintain or even increase your customer engagement without a traditional website.

What alternatives do I have if I decide to get rid of my website?

If you decide to get rid of your website, consider utilizing social media platforms, email marketing, or online marketplaces to promote your products. You can also create a business page on platforms like Facebook or Instagram, where you can share updates, engage with customers, and drive sales without the need for a dedicated website.

How can I ensure I don't lose my customer base if I remove my website?

To maintain your customer base after removing your website, communicate the change to your customers through email and social media. Make sure to provide them with alternative ways to connect with you, such as through social media accounts or direct messaging. Additionally, consider offering promotions or incentives to encourage continued engagement during the transition.

What should I do with my existing website content before getting rid of it?

Before getting rid of your website, review your existing content to determine what can be repurposed or transferred to other platforms. Save important information, such as product descriptions, customer testimonials, and blog posts, that can be used in your social media or email marketing efforts. Consider creating a backup of your website content for future reference or potential use.
