I have a host who isn't buying a 1/2 price item and said for me to order something. I need to order the family fry pan at $125... so I can get it 1/2 off OR I can order it at 25% off and then get 24% commission... it ends up about 3 dollars different... for points etc... which is the better choice?

I like the commission better as it isnt much of a difference anyways and I still earn a few $'s...

and for my lifetime income or whatever it's called... and for PC Points... does that make a difference depending on which way I do it?

It's up to you but keep in mind even though you earn the commission back, you then have to claim that as income. So it's not totally a even swap.

but you can also claim it as an expense, so you really make out in the deal if you take a loss for the year. And yes, you get the career sales, points, etc. if you do it under the hostess.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between commission and a half-off item in Pampered Chef?

Commission is a percentage of the sales you make as a Pampered Chef consultant, which can vary based on your sales volume and level within the company. A half-off item, on the other hand, is a discount you receive on one item of your choice, allowing you to purchase it at 50% off. Both options provide value but serve different purposes.

Which option is more financially beneficial: commission or a half-off item?

The financial benefit depends on your personal sales goals and needs. If you are looking to maximize your earnings, commission might be more beneficial, especially if you have high sales. However, if you need specific products for personal use or to enhance your business, a half-off item can save you money on those purchases.

Can I choose both commission and a half-off item?

No, typically you must choose one option for each party or sales event. You can decide based on what you feel will benefit you the most at that time, but you cannot combine the two in a single transaction.

How does my sales volume affect my commission rate?

Your commission rate can increase based on your sales volume. Pampered Chef offers tiered commission structures, meaning that as you sell more, you may earn a higher percentage on your sales. This can make commission a more lucrative option if you are consistently achieving high sales.

What should I consider when deciding between commission and a half-off item?

Consider your current sales goals, your need for products, and your overall financial situation. If you are actively building your business and need to invest in inventory or tools, commission may be the better choice. If you are looking to enhance your kitchen with specific items, a half-off item might be more appealing.
