Well played around with it this morning & STILL HATE IT!!!:( 1 of the features I really like from PP is where you are able to look up ALL items sold, get a reciept from any show, top 100 sales, etc....The new 1 has such limited choices. Oh Well...I'll go back in awhile & try again.....:( :( :(

I think that they will add more reports as we move along... just like they added the expense report!

LOL I should have been committed LONG ago ;)

If you're a Director, you still need PP because there are some reports that aren't available in P3 (YET).... since I haven't promoted (YET) I'm switching over because the sooner I change over, the easier it will be for me to help my new TEAM members with the program. My director is an hour away, so I need to be as able to help my local TEAM as possible.

Give the program a chance... The Pampered Chef team at Home Office would not release something that is not going to help us in our business! Have faith in them, they know what they're doing ;)

Yes, even if you submit a show you receive an email! It's great!!

You even get an e-mail telling you that it has been shipped!:)

Ginger:

Some of those are there like being able to print old receipts, etc. Little by little they are bringing some of our favorite features over. Some one said to drop them a note and tell them what you are looking for and they will look into it if they haven't already.

I for one am happy with it and look forward to the additions of more reports.

Have you taken the starter guide tour yet, Ginger? It helps tell you where things are, etc.

I don't know really-LOL! I am just not a big change lover. I am going to play around with it until I feel comfortable. I actually got an update on it today. Anyone else?

I got an update yesterday.

Thank you so much for your time & effort with me Harriet. I know in the long run I will have to change over, I'll just take my time & maybe send some emails to HO & in time I'll like it just as well...Thanks again for all your help....:D ;)

No problem, Ginger. We are all in this together. It is a much different format than what we are used to but believe me the more you use it the more you will like it. Eventually everything we want will be there. It is more important that they add the reports properly and in a timely fashion than rush them on.

Wait till you close a show and get ready to submit it from P3--it walks you through the whole process and lets you know where there are errors or something you might have missed--that is an awesome feature!

I've noticed that every time I open it there is an update. The only thing I don't like is that if you are in the middle of something it will lose all of that info. When you log on and are automatically connected to the internet (wireless connection) wait a couple of minutes while it decides what it wants to do.

I remember reading a recent message that they are still working on making all of the reports available on P3 that are currently available with PP. We just have to be patient and we will be able to accept the change. Believe it or not, eventually we will not even remember what PP was like.

Couldn't agree with you more, Lynette! Remember how everyone was baffled when we dropped host points and went to the current host reward system? Personally these new changes are great.

I love how the reports are now in PDF form so you can save them and retrieve them.

Hi, I've installed the PP3 & imported all the info there too. I've added to the PP after I installed the PP3. Now I want to use PP3 full time but I'm stuck with how to add all the new ones I've added, how do you import those that were added after I installed the PP3?

Help please.

Thanks!

Jenny,

You'll need to either type them into P3 manually, or uninstall and reinstall P3 and reimport your PP data when it gives you that one single chance to do so during the install. (I know, it sucks when you're trying to play with P3 but actually still use PP to submit stuff.)

Oh! I'll just uninstall PP3 and start over again. I added so many things on PP so I would be afraid to leave out something.

Ann, thanks for the suggestion.

I hope it will grow on you! I really used it for the first time this morning and I loved it! But I also have only been using the other for 3 months. So it's not like I have used it for a year or longer and am now having to get used to it. I can see it being different for the "seasoned" people! Good luck!

I don't know if it is just my computer or what. Is anyone else having issues with ppp taking a long time to initially load?
I have cleaned my disks, defraged and made sure that all of my updates are current. Anyone have any suggestions.

My puter is sooooooo fast, I D/L things in the blink of an eye, but when I go to P3 it does take awhile & so far I have nothing on it.....

It takes a while on mine, too. Amanda (pamperedalf) posted in another thread that Brandon in tech support mentioned that it runs really well on new machines, but can take a while to start up on older models.

You should also make sure you have a LOT of RAM installed (.5GB or more).

I think they should have posted a recommended minimum system so we could avoid the slow processing.

I had a hard time getting it on my computer. My husband says I wasn't holding my mouth right because he didn't have a problem at all. Out of the 10times I have opened it, maybe once was it slow to open.

Last night I sat down and decided it was time to give it a try. I got an error message stating my system was not compatible. I called HO and Tech Support said I need Windows 2000 or above. I still have Windows 95 (works just fine). I know ... get with 2007 and upgrade but I am of the generation that "if it ain't broke ... don't try to fix it". HO said that I probably have about 2 years before P3 is totally implemented. Does anyone know if it is difficult to upgrade an old system (I am not a computer geek) ... expensive? diff

Unfortunately, now that Vista's out, you may have to look to find a copy of XP to load on your machine. And you'll need to make sure that you've got enough RAM, fast enough processor, etc. There are a lot of little things to check when upgrading your operating system.

If it's going to be a while before P3 is required, I'd stick with PP and get a new computer in a few months, once some of the bugs have been worked out of Vista. Then it'll come with more memory, etc. and you'll be set for another several years.

I second Anne's suggestion. If your computer is only running Windows 95, it is probably lacking in a lot of other areas as well. When you need to upgrade to a new Operating System, your best bet will be to buy an entirely new system. I am not advising anyone to run out and buy a new computer right now, because of all of the Vista bugs....and it is very hard to find a system that still comes with XP.

And waiting gives you a few months to do a few "pay for my computer" shows. :)

Very good and what not systems still at TigerDirect.com with XP; I don't usually purchase warranty pkgs, but these machines are either overstocks or refurbished and in this case I did purchase the warranty and very glad I did. I thought I bought an overstocked/or recertified computer as I've had nothing but bad luck with refurbs in the past, not computers but other products, luckily for me I get a cash card to buy whatever I want at TD. I'm looking to buy a comparable desktop to my former XP Media Center (has built in like TIVO without the extra svc charges, I run cable thru my computer and download my shows!!!) Anyways, I'm looking to get the same machine with the Vista one, then my laptop is XP which I really like and new computer will have Vista :) Just thought I"d share.

btw: When I upgraded, probably just a coincidence my desktop ran extremely slow and when I bought add'l memory 1 GB to go with my 512 MB my system died :( Luckily I still have my laptop which I don't care for, too big of a screen etc but I"m working :)

My computer that died was a Gateway XP Media system the best I"ve ever owned and the least expensive too. $ 434.99 with tax/s-h. :)
