Hi all! I have a show this weekend and the host is pairing PC with an at home Wine Tasting Party. Great idea and at first I was thinking a wine & Cheese type party. But she wants a demo, and I want to do something impressive in the DCB. Any ideas??

The 1st show I went to was a PC Wine tasting show. My director made chicken in the DCB and let the host pick 3 different rubs to use. She kept the rubs in order but we were able to taste 3 different rubs and see the DCB in action. She also made a little brie round with pecans. She had toasted french bread which she spritzed with garlic oil (I think). It was a lot of fun and showed several products.

I have one next month and none of the mexican themed recipes go well with wine. I am doing one pot pasta, but adding chicken with the Italian seasoning on it cooked in the baker. That way I can demo the DCB, meat tenderizer and salad choppers.

I am going to do a show soon and do the Pork Tenderloin w/ BBQ Sauce in the DCB! I can't wait! We had that at our cluster meeting last weekend and it was great! Also did a broccoli slaw....just w/ the bag of slaw mix and part of a cold slaw dressing bottle! Yummmmmm!

I can't resist :D

Ooo...the one pot pasta with chicken is a great idea!! It will go great with wine and shows off so many products!

Plus I can still do a little cheese platter!

I'll skip the trifle though! That would just be too much, hopefully the beautiful pics will suffice!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a DCB and why is it important for a wine tasting party?

The DCB, or Deep Covered Baker, is a versatile stoneware piece from Pampered Chef that is perfect for baking, roasting, and even serving. For a wine tasting party, the DCB can be used to prepare delicious appetizers or main dishes that pair well with the wines being sampled, making it a centerpiece for both cooking and presentation.

How can I set up a wine tasting party using the DCB?

To set up a wine tasting party with the DCB, start by selecting a variety of wines to taste, ideally with different flavor profiles. Prepare complementary dishes in the DCB, such as baked brie, stuffed mushrooms, or a savory casserole. Arrange the wines and dishes on a table, ensuring that guests can easily sample both the wines and the food. Provide tasting notes and pairing suggestions for each wine to enhance the experience.

What types of food work best with wine when using the DCB?

When hosting a wine tasting party, consider foods that complement the wines being served. For white wines, light dishes like seafood, chicken, or vegetable tarts work well. For red wines, heartier options like beef, lamb, or rich pasta dishes are ideal. The DCB can be used to create a variety of these dishes, allowing for both baked and roasted options that enhance the tasting experience.

How can I incorporate Pampered Chef products into my wine tasting party?

In addition to the DCB, you can incorporate other Pampered Chef products such as wine glasses, serving platters, and cheese boards. Use the cheese knife for slicing cheeses that pair with the wines, and the cutting board for preparing appetizers. This not only showcases the versatility of Pampered Chef products but also enhances the overall presentation and enjoyment of the wine tasting experience.

What tips do you have for making the wine tasting party memorable?

To make your wine tasting party memorable, consider creating a theme, such as regional wines or specific varietals. Encourage guests to bring their favorite wine to share. Provide tasting cards for guests to jot down their impressions of each wine. Additionally, play some background music and create a cozy atmosphere with appropriate lighting. Engaging activities, such as a wine trivia game, can also add to the fun and keep guests entertained.
