I also heard that 3 of our spices will be available on supply order for Consultants to purchase in larger containers. This was overheard but not announced today.
Here are my notes from Day 2. Lots of exciting announcements today!!!

Starting in March, we have new shipping cartons, featuring the logo. And they look GOOD! This will be an advertisement in itself! Customer bags will also be redesigned.

Gift Registry Enhancements:
Starts 3/1. Now called Wedding Registry. Fresh contemporary look and easy to use. 2.5 million couples marry each year. Average wedding gift is $50-100. During the first year of marriage, couples continue to spend money, $3.5 billion on housewares and tabletops. Access the registry through personal web sites or the corporate web site. Brides/couples can identify consultant (by consultant number or by name and state) and build the registry list. The catalog appears page by page and they can click on items to pull up specific items and add to the list. Can also attach a 100 character message that will send when gifts are ordered or people access the registry. They can also send emails to friends and family from the web site. Once the registry is set up, a wedding packet is mailed to the couple, including a personal letter, catalog and 30 registry cards to give to friends, insert in shower invitations, etc. (They can order more cards through us.) When the gift giver goes to the web site, they can locate a registry. When they check out to purchase a gift for the bride/couple, it asks the purchaser if he/she wants to purchase some items for her/himself. Orders ship immediately and we earn commission in the month when the orders are shipped. And the coolest part is that the bride/couple earn free, 1/2 price and discounted products on the orders that are placed (up to $200 free, up to 4 items at half price, and up to 30% discount)!!! There is a brochure that will come in changeover boxes, to explain the whole thing. People who go to the registry and don't have a consultant will be assigned a consultant. They will have an option to be contacted by the consultant or not (for privacy reasons). They must pick the free/half price, etc. items, within 3 months of the wedding. Lots of new marketing materials are available from Merrill Corporation, our new partner for marketing materials. (Notecards, flyers, etc.)

New look for invitations, with new Italian dishes on it. Nice.
New catalog has new executive cookware on front. Recipe for Berries and Cream Brownie Squares is included. Great improvements on layout and products really stand out. Love it! Order forms have been redesigned again. We will have itemized and write in formats. Itemized categories correlate with the catalog and are referenced with page numbers, but items under categories are still alphabetical. One sample of each coming in changeover and can request pack of 40 of type you want with first supply order.

Mini catalogs are $3 for 25. Has wedding registry ad on the back.

Help Whip Cancer. We raised $1 million last May. American Cancer Society will get $1 on each item sold. Items are Help Whip Clips ($5.00 for 2), Large and Small Ribbon Decorator Stencils $5.00 for set of 2 (mylar, easy to clean, in shape of pink survivor ribbon), Pink Bar Board and Knife ($8.50). Lapel pins are redesigned, $2.50 for 15. Host Special is AWESOME -- it's set of 2 mugs and small squares, pink with white dots and survivor ribbon in bottom of the mug. $19.80 ($1 donated to American Cancer Society) Details in March KCN.

Merrill Corporation -- new vendor. 25 years experience working with independent consultants, logo business materials. Offering photo business cards, $45.95 for 100. Really good looking. Also, set of business cards with photos of products (cookware, new simple additions stands, stones, etc.), for less. Also marketing cards that are postcard size. Merrill will mail for us, if we wish (for additional charge). Blank notecards with photos of products and recipes. Greeting cards with recipes. Checks. Business card posters with 7 tear off cards and ad at the top left. 25 minimum on posters, 40 cents each (cheaper for larger quantities). New consultant packet with 250 business cards and 100 intro cards (Guess what I discovered with The Pampered Chef). Link on web site to order.

Training tools updated.

The guest speaker, Jim Cathcart, was awesome. I would recommend checking out his books, Relationship Selling and The Acorn Principle.

We have one more general session in a.m., so not sure what last announcements are left. I'm flying home and won't be back to the computer until later tomorrow night.

Thanks,

I signed on Dec 23rd. My first SS1 month is Feb, anyone know if I will be eligible for the 12" skillet?? I am thinking maybe not since it says signed 1/1-2/28... should have waited a week more!

I can't wait!!:( Sorry, but I don't think you'll be able to get the skillet.

I can't wait to get everything. Unfortunately, I will be BUYING it! I was $122 away from level 1. I had a kitchen show and 2 catalog shows that cancelled, and another one that only turned in $75 in orders. OH WELL!

I really want that NEW cookware. I had planned on buying the Professional in April, but will use that $$ for the New Products and EARN the NEW cookware for FREE! All we need is $750 in COOKWARE sales each of the 4 months from 2/1 to 5/30 to get the 7pc set! Totally attainable! $2200 in COOKWARE sales will get you 8 inch saute pan and 12 inch lid, double burner griddle and stir fry, 12 inch skillet and lid, 5 pc set, AND 7 pc set! Kinda hard to do, but could make a great goal! GREAT INCENTITIVE! I for one can't wait! I can't think of a better excuse to get on the PHONE than this!

Quick ? -- Anyone know which of the hotels that we would be staying in at Atlantis; Royal Towers, Coral Towers, Beach Tower or Harborside Resort? This was the place where the Today show wedding was held this year. They got married in front of the Royal Casino and had a room in that arch.

That is sales of COOKWARE! At least that is how I understand it. I don't think I will be able to sell that much cookware. Good luck to you!

Was Leadership Summitt not at Blast!Oh my gosh!!!!!!! Leadership was way more than awesome!!!! It was more than overwhelming! I did not hear anything about the show-n-go set to be available for sale but that don't always mean it won't. Aren't all of the products interesting. I am so glad to be back home with my family, but totally meet a whole bunch of wonderful people there and enjoyed networking with everybody I encountered. Oh, by the way, Becky Gosain and Darla Bauman (I think I spelled that right) when you walked across stage I was excited for you, shouted and clapped for both of you, and wished I could have talked to you both personally. Thanks everybody for the inspiration! Had a blast at Leadership especially with the girls for around Tempe, AZ! Louise Wolfe, Shawn Prouty, and Cheri Anderson I could not have picked better roommates if I had tried!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely keep this in mind. Even though the points went up a couple thousand points, these increased points you receive when a recruit qualifies will really add up! That's pretty much how I got to level 2. And they increased the points for when YOU promote from 2000 to 3000. Those all really add up! Don't get discouraged because it's still very attainable.

My biggest suggestion is to be sure to set goals for the year. If you know you want to earn level 1, sit down and figure out how many points you'll need each month. February is double points month, so go crazy and book as many shows as you can that month. Then break down how many shows you'll need to hit the average needed each month to attain your goals!

Thank you so much for the link with all the great pictures. It was really wonderful to get to see these exciting products.

  • #24
Nope, no skillet for you, cajunchelle :(

I feel your pain. I signed up 8 days too early to earn the Roasting Pan for free. I was TICKED. There was another promotion going on at the time (Woven Selections), but when I changed my SS1 month, I got screwed out of that one too. But, as I have discovered, the HO is very generous to the consultants and I am so excited to get my spring products! I don't know where I'm going to keep it all!

Having learned my lesson and after consulting with my director, in December, I warned my two potential recruits that there would most likely be a promotion announced at Leadership and so they should hold off on signing until after Jan 1 (when the promotion was likely to be effective), since they both wanted Feb as their SS1 anyway. That meant they wouldn't sign in December and as a result I couldn't attend Leadership (although I really wanted to!), but it means I have two happy recruits. One signed on Jan 2, so she'll get the pan, and the other is coming to our cluster meeting on Monday and if that doesn't kick her butt in gear, I don't know what will!

New ProductsI'm not sure if I like the new design of the Quick-Stir Pitcher...the handle doesn't look very comfortable. I do like the clear plunger, though.
I really love the HWC items. And the silicone basting brush. And the cookware. And the plaid towels. Oh, what the heck...I love it all! :)

!!!!!wow!!!!!I am so proud and excited to be a Pampered Chef Consultant! :p I am so amazingly overwhelmed by all the changes! My SS1 was last October so this is my first Pampered Chef "New Year" and it's unbelievable! :) Thank you for posting the pictures of all the new stuff. I can't wait to get my shipment. Also, I think I'm wanting the San Francisco trip because my husband and I are not beach people. It's late and I can't totally ingest all this info. I can't wait to come back here tomorrow and read the list of all the new products again!

Thanks Pampered Chef! It feels like Christmas morning and shame on all of you who pouted about the new information not being made public. I bet you never had any surprises on Christmas morning and quit believing in Santa Claus when you were only 2 years old! There's something fun and exciting about surprises and I feel sorry for you that you can't wait two whole days.

The only thing I am questioning.....Is the BBQ skewer set. It's totally stainless steel and comes with a handy food slider however you still have to pick up the skewer to use it.............can someone say OUCH!!! Might be a little hot!! Love the new Chillzanne Sectional Server... LOVE it!! The new stands are different as well, brushed silver, pretty but not my style i like the old ones better, I think they should have kept both sets to give people an option oh well I am just glad I have my old ones!! LOL Overall though I am so excited!! I can't wait to get this stuff!!

  • #32
Right on Julie!! I thought it was hysterical to see so many get there aprons in a wad because they had to wait 2 days to hear the info. I bet they peeked at their Christmas presents early too. Ruins all the fun. :D

WhyWhy do you think they're retiring the cake tester and the nonstick cake pans? It doesn't seem like they're replacing them with any like items, unless I read it wrong.

I know! I like the cake tester and it's a great door prize. Looks like I'll be buying quite a few of these on the supply order! :( :)

  • #37
I don't think the nonstick cake pan is being retired. It appears that it is just not being solid individually anymore and can only be purchased as a set with with checkerboard insert.

Merrill CorporationWhen will be able to order from them and when is the last day to order from T&C? Anyone know?

OK - just so I have the wording correct (I'm at work):
New Recruits get the Executive Family Skillet if they qualify by end of their first SS month - meaning $1250 in sales correct? Not 4 shows.....(because they could easily do 4 book parties and not qualify)....

So they took away the black stands in the SA? I love those...the brushed stainless is pretty, but I like the black better. We will have to see how these sell!

Website Changes?Does anyone know if Merrill Corporation is offering any services connected with personal websites or email? Something to that effect is alluded to in the new policy statement...

Also, does anyone know if there were personal website changes announced at Leadership? Will the whole catalog be presented in the "virtual catalog" format or just the wedding registry? Inquiring minds.... :)

Thanks,
Sandy

Qualifying RecruitsOK - just so I have the wording correct (I'm at work):

To qualify a recruit needs to submit either 4 shows OR $1250. I received the Roasting Pan when I qualified and I got it after my 4th show which only brought me to $1247.98! They shipped my pan the next day.

I don't believe they would change the rules for just this promotion.

It's 4 qualifying shows of 150 each or 1250 in sales to get the pan.

I personally like both stands the black is a different style, and brushed stainless looks more professional in my opinion. I love the new 3 tier plate stand, I have actually been looking for the that type of stand for my counter, and I don't have to look any further. This is my first changeover because I signed up mid August, so I don't count that one really.

I am extremely excited, I am bummed about the march special though I thought that would be something new. I don't like that they are raising the minimum price up to get the gift from $50 to $60. At some of my most recent shows some people were just not spending $50.00 (maybe it was because of the holidays)

I am in the process of changing my recipes so I use the cookware at each show up until may. The pan-o-rama sounds like fun. I am just flat out excited I can't wait until my new items come, and my change over kit comes. Well enough blabbing, Have a Beautiful Day Everyone!!!!!!!!!! :D

I just checked CC and saw the new flyers for the "Pan-O-Rama" incentive. New consultants can earn the new skillet for free when they qualify by submitting $1,250 in sales OR four qualified shows within their Super Starter Month One, or by March 31st, whichever is sooner.

March and April SpecialsDoes anyone know what March and April Host and Guest Specials are?

Cool - thank you all...it's Monday you know! I have already printed my newsletter, so I am putting this recruiting blurb on a little business card sized piece of paper to staple to it. I don't think it will look bad and I want them to know about it! I think the skillet is a great incentive!

First of all I can't find the pan-o-rama flyer on CC, where is it at? Can you tell me where to look please? Thanks so much! ;)

March/April Specials are in another thread, sorry I went off about them in the wrong thread. They are located in increasing sales I believe.

Just go to "Consultant Incentives", then click on "Recruiting and Sales Promotions". You'll see the "Pan-o-rama" flyer right there.

Amanda,
I think you can only see the new flyers and products on the website if you're a Director. (They get little special perks) a reason why I'm trying hard to beome a Director! :D

By the way: thanks to everyone for posting all the new information! I'm so excited :D :D

Oops! Sorry!I'm sorry, Amanda! I think that Autumn is correct; the information is on the site for directors only at this point. Hopefully, everyone else will be able to see it soon. I can never tell what is posted for "Directors only" and what is for everyone. That's why I sent you to the site. Sorry!
