Who Gets Credit for Purchasing and Redeeming a Gift Certificate?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The credit for purchasing a Gift Certificate (GC) is attributed to the consultant who sells it, as well as the host if the GC is bought during a show. However, when it comes to redemption, no credit is given to the consultant or host, even if the user places an order exceeding the GC's value. This clarification is crucial for understanding the financial implications of GC transactions in sales environments.

Who gets credit when a Gift Certificate is purchased?? Is it the person who the Gift Certificate is purchased from or is the person who the Gift Certificate is redeemed with?? I was just wondering. I have never sold one.

The consultant who sells the GC gets credit, as does the host (if it's purchased on a show).

Because GC's must be redeemed directly with HO, there is no credit when they are redeemed, even if the user orders more than the GC covers.

Who gets credit for a purchase made with a gift certificate?

The credit for a purchase made with a gift certificate typically goes to the consultant who issued the gift certificate. This means that any sales generated from the redemption of the gift certificate will count towards that consultant's sales totals.

What happens if a gift certificate is used for a party order?

If a gift certificate is used for a party order, the consultant who hosted the party will receive credit for the sales. However, the consultant who issued the gift certificate may still receive recognition for the initial sale if it was part of their sales volume.

Can a gift certificate be split between multiple purchases?

What if the gift certificate is not fully used in one transaction?

If a gift certificate is not fully used in one transaction, the remaining balance can usually be applied to future purchases. The consultant should provide details on how to track and redeem any remaining balance.
