I want to make a ring for this weekend's 4 p.m. show but I don't know which one to make. I want something that shows a few products especially the cutlery, food chopper, well as many as possible. I really think I sell more when I show more.

My favorite's the taco....but the chicken/broccoli shows more products & is always a hit too:) (just made it yesterday!)

Lemon Herb Chicken
Chicken Enchilada

Broccoli Ham

...are we really helpng her decide when we all have different favs?

I have done the beef taco...I was thinking the chix/broccolli because it shows more product. Do you cook the broccolli first or just buy a big head of it and cut the crowns off and then put it in the food chopper to coarsely chop? Also...does anyone know how much chicken would give me about 2 cups of cooked.

I just made the taco ring for the second time last night and I used extra meat and to be honest it was definitely better as if...probably why they write the recipe that way, lol.

OK, I have to admit that when I first saw this thread title I thought someone was talking jewelry and was all ready to say "ruby" or "diamond"...

Me too - -I was about to say my engagement ring!

I love the Turkey and Cranberry ring -- was the very first PC recipe I ever had and I love, love, love it.

I make it every year for our Halloween party -- only instead of a ring, I use the rectangle stone and double the recipe and use cresent rolls to make a Mummy shape. (You can, of course, do with any filling). Always gets rave reviews!

chicken enchilada or
chicken club brunch ring!

hawaiin chicken....you can dress up the presentation by placing a pineapple in the center of the ring.....i usually make it as a braid.

it's a featured recipe on my website: /krisbrooks

You're going to have to take a picture of this and post it for us!! It sounds adorable!

I love the Spinach Artichoke ring. It is sooooo yummy. I personally don't like ths taco one. Especially since I did it at a show once and the grease from the meat and cheese dripped off the side of the stone onto my arm. Yea, it was HOT.

I'm torn between the chix/broccolli and the chix club. Hmmmmmm....I know it is going to be an outside party so I need to think about what is the least amount of in the kitchen things.

Kathy, I just made a ring for the first time last week. I thought it would be so hard but it was so easy and good. I haven't tried the wreath or braid yet. I need to get the rectangle stone when I go back home. Too heavy to lug through the airport with all my all new consultant stuff (and extras I have bought)

The Lemon Herb Chicken Ring is my absolute favorite. It used to be a "super starter" recipe, and it shows a lot of basic tools (and you can cross sell a lot, too). I have a friend who's husband requests it whenever we get together, he loves it so much - it's definitely a yummy one, too! :)

Good luck and let us know what you decide!

Lemon Chicken or Broccoli Chicken are the one's I make the most.
My DD's really like the rings, it's a way to get them to eat more veggies.

chicken enchilada... i have done it for almost every show

I vote for the Taco ring. Have done the Ham w broccoli, and the Turkey w cranberrys. I love them all but my DH prefers the Taco, so we have that the most. Guests ooh and ahh about any one you do.

I love, love, LOVE the Chicken Enchilada ring! I have only done 3 shows but made at all of them and got rave reviews!

I didn't even see the last few posts. I have the recipe for the Chix Enchilada ring in my celebrate cookbook. I wonder if it is in any current books.

Cathy,

Thanks so much for the recipe. If I don't make it for the show I am def. making it for the family. It looks so good!!!!!

I love this website....the best ideas. I don't know what I would do without you all. It is like hospitality directors and consultants everywhere!!!!

I love the chicken broccoli - which I got from a consultant in 1992 -- LONG before I became a consultant! I don't even think it's in a recipe book. She says she made it up on her own!

It's called the "Four Cup Recipe" - because you use equal cups of:
~1 cup cooked chicken, chopped up
~1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
~1 cup chopped broccoli
~1 cup chopped onion (I reduce this to 1/2 cup; dh hates onions!)

Mix in the batter bowl with 1 can of cream of chicken soup, then scoop into the crescent rolls (braid, wreath, ring, whichever you prefer) and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. YUMMM!!!!

I also like the taco ring -- sometimes I make it with chicken too! ;)

If you can get your hands on a copy, 'All the Best' has great ring/wreath/braid recipes. Just LOVE that cookbook!

Yum...they all look so good.

I love the "all the best" cookbook. I use it so much that I have guests who buy it.

Four Cup Chicken, I'm going to have to try that, sounds great!

When I started in Feb I was doing 2 recipes and one was the Chicken Club Brunch Ring. I have changed the other recipe I offer but I keep doing the Chicken Club Brunch Ring because everyone requests it. I looks great on the Large Bar Pan as a Braid and great on the Large Round Stone in a Ring. Everyone just raves about it. It is found in the All the Best Cookbook. If you need the recipe PM me.

I agree -- that Chicken Club Ring is just wonderful!
