The product person in the room said that the 10x15 metal pan is half the weight of the large bar pan (same size), and the smaller one is 1 pound exactly.

Wow! Those pans sound like they are pretty durable. I think my favorites is the outdoor stuff. I love the plates/forks and can't wait to add to my collection. I also think the collapsible bowl will be a must have for most of my customers. I think they will love the design. It will be interesting to see what does appeal to our customers. What I think will appeal to them may not necessarily be the "it" product.

I'm not sure what will be the next big hit. I don't think I had one last season (Mix N Chop has been taking over that since it came out). I don't see anything that jumps out at me yet. I do like the pinch bowls and the cookware protectors, glad I earned both of those. I'll just have to wait and see.

Well, according to my Top Sell List, the biggest hits for me from last season are both types of Sprinkles, the Bamboo Specialty Set (which I never once mentioned!) and the 29 Minutes Cookbook. So, it will be interesting to see what emerges as the hits for this season!

I agree that the HWC items will be huge sellers this year.
And the pinch bowls & grill basket; I also love the cookware protectors. The party sticks I'm not as sure about here in the middle of the country where we don't have as many beaches (ha--only at our small lakes!). I am excited about the outdoor stuff--the collapsible bowl, plate caddy, & cups.

My director was one that contacted a HO person immediately to ask about the sheet pans. Exactly what someone posted about the market; these are going to be top of the line & won't buckle like some metal pans do.

I already have a past host to contact about doing a show in May, she wants pink items!

My pick is the pinch bowls, but I think it will be the metal pans. :D

Not sure - nothing is WOWing me yet - I think I might have to have hands on first - I do like the collander set, pinch bowls too - Why did they discontinue the cranberry scraper collection that just came out - I sell a TON of them - and aren't so sure about the new ones - the look doesn't personally appeal to me - hmmmmm

I'm not a big fan of the look of the new ones either. Have to see how they work before I make a final decision, but I'm not impressed on the look.

I think the pinch bowls and colapsable bowls will be big

I'm going to sell the heck out of the Executive 10" Sauté Pan & pinch bowls, I think. Also that little green paring knife will be a good seller, I think.

I heard someone say that many of their customers will like the metal pans because they think the stones are just too heavy. Well.........the metal pans are just as heavy as the stones!!!! The crowd was SOOOOOO quite when the metal was announced.

ChefAnn, in post #30, posted that the Test Kitchen says they are 1/2 the weight of a comparable stone.

Did anyone else pick one up, they are pretty heavy

I didn't know the exact weights, but they are not the typical metal pan, they are really rough and tough. And I think they are on the heavy side for metal.

Not seeing the products in person, I love the grill basket and think that will be popular, but for hot sellers, it's always cheaper items! I don't love the green, so I'm not sure the bar board & such will be hot sellers. Too bad, with a great color, they would be. The pinch bowls and the pans will be popular. We can't be too appalled about them. After all, even PC consultants use metal pans. I personally only use them to catch stuff that drips from my stones, but I have a lot of people that can't use stones because they are too heavy. I'll be happy to give them a HIGH quality alternative. I can't wait to get my products!!

I'm new, so I could totally be wrong here, but I thought you weren't supposed to put any pans above or below stoneware? Am I wrong? Help me so I tell my customers correctly! :)

That's right - the metal pan would need to be on a lower rack to catch drips, and cooking times might be longer.

It was my understand that you couldn't put the metal pan on the rack below. Thanks!! :)

Collapsible bowl!
That's my vote too. Was over to my Director's yesterday borrowing a pan for my soup & slipper show and she showed me the new catalog, etc. She was all excited about the bowl. It looks great, plus it has a lid.. to cool.

Yes, and try to avoid using too big of a pan, the more the heat can circulate, the more even your cooking will be. Some people wrap their oven racks with foil and this doesn't let the heat circulate.

I agree with Ann S. My favorites are not always the same as my customers. I see many favorites and can't wait to try the new spices. Liking the pinch bowls, out door party sticks and looking forward to the grilling cookbook. Grill basket too!

I'm interested in seeing the new scrapers, they currently look weird to me in the catalog! I want to get my hands on one.

I think the old white scrapers will be the big sellers ... because people will be nervous about the re-designed cranberry ones!

Oh ya the grill basket - I think I will love that one - And Hey Cathy - I will bring the wine - PARTY this summer at your house or mine??LOL - I live by the ocean! LOL -

I am really not sure about those honestly - I have seen them in LNT and BBB - I believe for alot cheaper-

Did someone say, Wine, Party?? If so, I am so there!!:p

Pinch BowlsCan someone explain to me what these are, thanks!

I think the small green knife will be it for me b/c I have been selling those knives a lot.

I love the grill basket and the collapsiable bowl for myself!:D And I will feel like Paula Deen with the pinch bowls!!! I think they will do good too.

Pinch bowls are smaller than the prep bowls to hold small amounts of ingredients. I see them on Food Network all the time or ones like them not ours.

It's a smaller set (smaller than prep bowls) that are stackable with lids. They are great for measuring out smaller things: salt, baking soda, etc that you have to have ready to mix into a recipe.

I don't know.. the green knives have been selling like hot cakes for me... but I was soooo excited to see the 10" skillet. I have had so many people want a 10" but didn't want to buy and entire set of cookware to get it. But I think the collapsable bowl will do really well too. Oh the choices! :)

Ok, I am still a newbie on here, did I miss something? Are these the new spring products?? Where can I see them?

The new stuff can be seen in the Special Edition newsletter on Consultant's Corner.

I'm a newbie here. The collapsable bowl looks great! How would you use the pinch bowls. They're pretty small aren't they?

I think the "IT" item will be the Mega Scraper...only because Murphy seems to show up everywhere. If we are on short supply, they will sell. :D
