Chef Kearns said:Wow!! You guys are so prepared!! I feel like a slacker!! LOL! I probably won't even think about packing until the Wed or so before we leave. God help me!

I went to Universal yesterday and TRUST me, it's HOT already. My dh and I kept saying how miserably hot it'll be at our Disney trip. So, we thought of a couple ideas. Wear light colored clothing, bring an extra pair of socks/shoes just in case your first pair get wet on a ride like Splash Mountain. Hair ties, a hat for boys, flip flops for the pool at the hotel.
The parks are busy already so be prepared!!

DebbieJ said:Yes, I plan on bringing extra socks/undies for when we get wet from rides or just too sweaty! Wet socks=blisters and that's not fun for anyone.
pcjenni said:thanks, I am in Southern California, more desert climate. It gets over 100 here in the later summer, late July to October, but no humidity at all. So humidity is hard for me to handle.
DebbieJ said:This sounds totally dorky, but a friend who is a Disney enthusiast recommended a fanny pack. I know, I know! But that way your valuables/money/park tickets/hotel cards are always on you. This is especially important for those of us who will be pushing strollers--you can park the stroller with the diaper bag in it knowing that you have your valuables on you.
When packing for a Disney trip, it's essential to consider the weather and the activities you'll be doing. Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for warm weather, while layers are recommended for cooler evenings. Don't forget comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking. Additionally, consider packing a rain jacket or poncho in case of unexpected showers.
Yes, bringing snacks and drinks can be a great idea to save money and keep your energy up throughout the day. Disney parks allow guests to bring in small snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Just make sure to check the specific guidelines for the park you are visiting to ensure compliance with their rules.
Essentials for a day at the park include your park tickets, a fully charged phone, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. It's also helpful to have a small backpack or bag to carry your items. Don't forget a portable charger for your phone, as you'll likely be using it for photos and the Disney app throughout the day.
While not mandatory, packing a small first aid kit can be very helpful. Include items like band-aids, pain relievers, and any personal medications you may need. This way, you can address minor injuries or discomforts without having to leave the park or search for medical assistance.
For kids, pack comfortable clothing, extra socks, and a change of clothes in case of spills or accidents. Don't forget their favorite toys or comfort items for downtime. Additionally, consider packing a stroller if your child gets tired easily, as well as sunscreen and hats to protect them from the sun.
