I asked a while back (maybe a week) about what to do with my shows since I'm moving for the fall.
Well, last night was my last show here in WV and I finally got a recruit!! She signed up officially last night and I'm planning to pass all my shows and WV contacts to her, well, most of them at least. I told her she could have any that didn't want catalog shows. Anyhow, I got 2 bookings at my show last night too- so I passed those immediately to her. I think she's going to do great!! I'm so excited!! My first recruit, a great show, and a way to pass on my peoples!!

That's great! Keep that momentum going at your new home!

Great job! Good luck with the move!

Thanks guys! I'm actually starting a full-time job, so I won't be doing as much PC, but I'm keeping up with it at least a few shows a month. Too easy and fun to pass up! Plus my new home area will be great for PC!

Congratulations on your first recruit and a successful last show in WV! It sounds like you have a great plan in place for passing on your shows and contacts to your new team member. I'm sure she will do great and your business will continue to thrive even as you move. Wishing you all the best in your new location!

Frequently Asked Questions

What steps should I take to inform my customers about my move?

Start by sending a personalized email or message to your customers, informing them of your upcoming move. Be sure to express your gratitude for their support and let them know how they can continue to shop with you or connect with your replacement if you have one.

How can I ensure my shows are passed on smoothly?

Coordinate with a fellow consultant or team member who can take over your shows. Provide them with all necessary details, including customer lists, show dates, and any special instructions. Make an announcement during your shows to introduce your replacement and reassure customers that they will be well taken care of.

What is the best way to transfer my contact list?

Export your contact list from your customer management system or create a spreadsheet with all relevant information. Share this list with your successor, ensuring it includes names, email addresses, and any notes about customer preferences or past orders.

Should I host a farewell show before I move?

Hosting a farewell show can be a great way to say goodbye to your customers and generate some final sales. Use this opportunity to introduce your replacement and encourage your customers to continue supporting them. It can also be a fun way to celebrate your time with them.

How can I maintain relationships with my customers after moving?

Stay connected through social media or email newsletters. Share updates about your new location and continue to engage with them by providing valuable content, such as cooking tips or recipes. This will help maintain your relationship and keep you top of mind for future business opportunities.
