On the website, it says that the warehouse will be closed due to remodeling and we'll have to watch a video of that point...I am SOOOOOO disappointed in that and that there will be "new ways" to win.

Hey, I know this is the session thread, but since no one responded to my other...anyone have openings in their rooms for 2 people? My recruiter and I are out of our Wave and looking for 2 people to room with to save on costs.

Hi Janet,
I know my director and her director reserved 3 rooms and that there are some spots open right now, but they are keeping them open in the hopes that others will change their mind and register for conference.

I know that helps you VERY little -- but if for some reason they are still open when we start getting closer to conference I will let you know.

Sorry I can't be of more help -- I think they are hoping a few more people sign up and a couple of "Tentative" people are hemming and hawing over it right now and they don't want them to get stuck w/o a room.

Ok, I have to agree...I was looking forward to the tour pretty much for the warehouse only!!!!

I feel like I'm wasting $25 now...not like I don't want to see the rest, but warehouses and systems are my passion as an Industrial Engineer...

I don't know what they've done in the past, but last year we did see a video of the distribution center. We only went in there for the shopping spree & then we walked back out to the buses through it. But we weren't given a tour of it or anything. Maybe that's what they've always done?

I wasn't at NC last year, so I'll have to take your word that it was bad. In 2005, I went to a workshop that was, honestly, a complete waste of my time. It gave me something to laugh about later with my friends.It was truly awful. I didn't learn a thing. It was right after lunch. The room was hot, so I got really sleepy. Of course, I sat on the front row, so I couldn't even take the opportunity to catch a few winks. Gave me a lot of ammo for my stand-up routine. http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/happy0014.gif

Good luck on finding someone. I will be alone also at the Hilton and am not looking forward to the check out bill. I think that while in my spare time I might try to scout out less expenive hotels in the area for next time.
