Upgrade Your Cell Phone with Sprint: Tips and Recommendations

Cell phone is starting to "crackle" in my ear when I talk so I think it is time for an upgrade. Suggestions?

I've looked at Sprint on-line w/PC and to be honest it's confusing to me since we have the "basic" free phone from 2006! I know...SHOCKING! The one before was a basic from 1999....the Sprint store had a good laugh out of that one! We've got a $200 credit from Sprint for an upgrade currently.

I'd love to add texting and other current services without going over board and outside the budget.

Recommendations or ones to stay away from??

My suggestion is to talk to lots of carriers before choosing one. Tell them how you'll be using the phone and what you'd like to be able to do (texting, email, web-browsing). Though, it appears you might be in an urban or suburban area. Living in the geographical center of nowhere as I do, coverage was an issue.
