For that last slice that doesn't come all the way through, use the Bamboo Tongs to push it through or pull it loose.
LOVE THAT!!!soccermama said:I really like the new Mandoline! I threw a handful of garlic on the hopper to slice up! AWESOME![]()
To prepare tomatoes for slicing, start by washing them thoroughly. If the tomatoes are particularly large or have a tough skin, consider cutting off the stem end and slicing them in half to make them easier to handle. For optimal results, choose ripe but firm tomatoes to ensure clean, even slices.
The Ultimate Mandoline features adjustable settings for slice thickness. To adjust, simply turn the dial or lever to your desired thickness setting before placing the tomato on the slicing platform. Test with a small piece first to ensure you achieve the perfect slice thickness.
If the tomato gets stuck, stop slicing immediately and check for any obstructions. Make sure the tomato is positioned correctly on the mandoline. If necessary, apply gentle pressure to help it move through the blades. Always use the hand guard for safety and to maintain control while slicing.
The Ultimate Mandoline is versatile and can be used to slice a variety of vegetables, including cucumbers, carrots, and bell peppers. Just ensure that the vegetables are firm and of a suitable size for the mandoline to achieve even slices.
To clean the Ultimate Mandoline, disassemble any removable parts and rinse them under warm water. Use a soft brush or sponge to remove any tomato residue. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling.
