Hopefully helpful"Getting to Know"...This came out from Home Office some years ago - I have more , later.

Find any STONEWARE cookbook and type-out the hints there.

Go find the PIG on CC and type out / copy & paste from there.

CHange info on the CCB recipes and it's yours!

God Bless; Take Care!

-praying for Paige and her family-

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to season Pampered Chef stoneware?

To season your Pampered Chef stoneware, wash it with warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly. Then, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil or shortening to the surface. Place it in a cold oven, set the temperature to 400°F (200°C), and bake for one hour. Allow it to cool in the oven before removing it. This process helps create a non-stick surface and enhances the stoneware's performance.

How should I clean my stoneware after use?

After using your stoneware, let it cool completely before cleaning. Avoid using soap, as it can absorb into the stoneware. Instead, use a plastic scraper to remove any food residue, and rinse it with warm water. For stubborn stains, you can use a baking soda paste. Always dry your stoneware thoroughly before storing it to prevent moisture buildup.

Can I use my stoneware in the microwave?

Yes, Pampered Chef stoneware is microwave-safe. You can use it for reheating food or cooking certain dishes in the microwave. However, avoid using it under the broiler or on the stovetop, as extreme temperature changes can cause it to crack.

What should I do if my stoneware develops a dark stain?

Dark stains on stoneware are normal and can occur over time. To minimize them, avoid using soap and instead clean with a baking soda paste. If the stains persist, you can soak the stoneware in a mixture of vinegar and water for a few hours, then scrub gently with a nylon scrubber. Remember, these stains do not affect the performance of the stoneware.

Is it safe to use metal utensils on Pampered Chef stoneware?

While it is generally safe to use metal utensils on Pampered Chef stoneware, it is recommended to use silicone, wood, or plastic utensils to prevent scratching the surface. Metal utensils can cause minor scratches over time, which may affect the non-stick properties of the stoneware.
