Should I Combine a Shower and Registry, or Do Both Separately?

So I am doing a shower for a friend in June.....She also set up a registry. Should I enter her shower as a show and give her the rewards? OR is it possible for me to "order" stuff off her registry since I will have all the contact and payment options for the guests?

She could just do both since I imagine they will have people who can't attend her shower.......ideas please......
