Okay so I am a vendor at a booth next friday (16th), this fair is helping to support a Relay for Life team at a hospital. Its going to be huge! I will be there from 7am to 7pm making sure all shifts from the hospital have a chance to shop.
Anyways what my question is, I am for sure going to have cash n carry items the normal things sbs, mini spatulas, pantry items, etc...but do you think I should order some of the HWC items to have there as CnC since this is supporting a Relay for Life team?

Hmmm, tough one. I guess it depends on how much you are willing to invest up front. ;)

Why not just make a display of HWC items that you have and take orders? You could either download the GREAT looking HWC flier that Joy posted under newsletters and distribute that so they could order at home, or actually "take orders" and place on large direct order and split the shipping. (I'm actually going to do it this way at a booth I'm doing on the 17th).

I agree.

I've pasted the shortcut to a form that would be great for collecting orders!!

This could keep you from having to invest a bunch, but I don't think it'd hurt to have one of each for display. Surely you'd use them or be able to give them as prizes later? Good Luck!!

OHHHHHHHH Love the form! I hadn't stumbled across it yet! :)

Thanks! I had my cluster meeting last night and mentioned this and with the help of my cluster I now have one of each item to display! And I will use the flyer and let them know they can either order from home on my website or place their order there and save on shipping!! Thanks again!

Sheila, love the quote!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are HWC items and why should I consider offering them at my booth?

HWC stands for "Healthy Cooking" items, which are products designed to promote healthier eating and cooking practices. Offering HWC items at your booth can attract health-conscious customers and demonstrate your commitment to supporting a good cause, like Relay for Life. These items can also encourage conversations about healthy cooking and nutrition, potentially increasing sales.

How can offering HWC items benefit my Relay for Life team?

By offering HWC items at your booth, you can raise awareness about your Relay for Life team and its mission. A portion of the sales from these items can be donated directly to your team, helping to fund cancer research and support services. Additionally, promoting healthy cooking aligns with the overall goal of cancer prevention and wellness, making it a relevant choice for the event.

What types of HWC items should I consider offering?

Consider offering a variety of HWC items such as healthy cookbooks, kitchen tools that promote healthy cooking (like steamers or salad choppers), and ingredients that support nutritious meals (like spices or oils). You can also include Pampered Chef products that are specifically designed for healthy meal preparation, making it easier for customers to choose healthier options.

Will offering HWC items attract more customers to my booth?

Yes, offering HWC items can attract a broader audience, especially those who are interested in health and wellness. Many attendees at events like Relay for Life are likely to be health-conscious or have a personal connection to cancer, making them more inclined to support a booth that promotes healthy living. Highlighting the benefits of these items can also encourage more foot traffic to your booth.

How can I effectively promote the HWC items at my booth?

To effectively promote HWC items at your booth, use clear signage that highlights the health benefits of the products. Engage with customers by offering samples or demonstrations of how to use the items. Share stories about how the sales will support your Relay for Life team, and consider offering a special discount or bundle deal to incentivize purchases. Personalizing your approach can create a more meaningful connection with potential buyers.
