Deb, I forgot all about that- I had kids in the kitchen on my mind. I have power cooking info already. I also found some cooking with kids info here, that I need to condense, and I will hand out, with my card.

Healthy Snacks might work. We had a Kids Cookbook that had lots of ideas. However, we no longer sell it. Talk about our Fund Raisers for any
groups their children might belong to, and talk about the opportunity to be
a Stay at Home Mom was Doris' reason for starting Pampered Chef 27 years ago. Check out our history for a few more details. Tell your own story and
decribe how it has been good for you and your children.

A no cook dip would be a layer of cream cheese in one of our stoneware
dishes, top with Food Chopper chopped imitation crab, and pour a third
layer of Salsa. Serve with RITZ crackers. That is something easy enough
for them to do with the kids, and it is quite a hit with ones in our family.
If you don't have a pie dish, you could use one of our Simple Additions pieces - rectangle tray or medium square plate.

The peanut butter dip that kids love is 8 oz. container Cool Whip, 8 oz. Non or Lofat Plain Yogurt and 8 oz. peanut butter. The kids love to do the whipping with our Stainless Whisk in our Classic Batter Bowl. Serve with apple wedges, chunks of pineapple, grapes or strawberries for a very healthy snack. That gives you an opportunity to demo the carving of a fresh pineapple, and our apple wedger.

Have fun. Be sure to have a drawing so you get their names and contact
info. Let us know how it goes.

I have decided to talk to the group about cooking with kids, and how family dinners together are benefical to family, etc. I also want to do a SHORT demo, recipe to make with kids, but I am at a loss. This is a mentoring group for young moms, which is why I chose this rather than power cooking. I wanted to concentrate on the partent-child relationship. Any easy recipe?

I just found this thread. Did you talk this morning? How did it go?

Just curious how it went and what you ended up demoing!

I think this is great that you did this by the way!

It turned out to be a small group, but it was a lot of fun. I am still trying to get over the flu, so one of the moms did the hands-on part, but it was all good. I had a hand-out (12 pages)for them, of something I complied, I think from here, all on kids in the kitchen, recipes, safety tips, etc, and we talked about memories growing up, eating around the dinner table as a family, how important it is, etc, and then I told them of when I was raising my girls, and how when they were in the kitchen cooking with me, it seemed to be when the important discussions happened. We made the mini-pizza's on english muffins, and then the peanut butter/yogurt/whip cream dip with apples. They LOVED IT!!!! They could not get enough of the dip. I was gald for the opportunity, and met some wonderful young moms, and maybe some good hostesses/ recruits in the future. I gave them all my card, and offered a catalog, but did not push for orders or bookings, I did not feel it was place, but they know how to reach me. I beleive that God blessed me for sharing , because when I came home, I had a v-mail from the lady about the Curves deal.
