Sales Tax?

Hi I live in MD and the sales tax is 5%. It's set at 5% in Pampered Partner but when I added up my sales at my show and then went home and entered the order I was charging more about 17 cents more for each client. I'm at a total loss. Any ideas what I should do?

Did you charge shipping tax? Some states charge tax on the shipping, some do not. You have to put that in yourself. Check and see if you accidently put it in.

I know my SIL has done shows for me (she lives in MD) and it is a state which taxes shipping.

I have never posted on here before and just found this site a couple weeks ago. I'm doing a CHOCOLATE show on Thursday and need a few fun ideas or games or something having to do with Chocolate or PMS or something... the croud I have coming is quite roudy I hear...
