At least for all our DH's! :p I don't think a single one of them would argue! ;)

But yes, it was a good year. It is actually the only year in the last decade where I went to numerous weddings that all are still intact. Other years, I know of many that have ended (note, I've been to or done sound or other things at more weddings than I can count - well over 50 - hubby's count is over 100!). I hope that holds true for a long time (for 1999).

I hope it holds true too! DH & I celebrated 8 years on 5/29!

How funny! Shhhh...don't tell anyone that we don't have cable either! I can relate to people thinking I'm a freak as well...I get the deer in headlights look all the time, like 'Then what do you do with yourself?' or 'You seriously can not afford cable or what?!'.
There are just sooo many other things I--and my kids--could be doing than watching TV [like reading a good book!]...and it has a way of sucking one in...[kind of like CS! Ha!] I do miss certain channels like HGTV, E!, Discovery, TLC, but I know if I had access to them the TV would be on all day.

Also, I haven't been to WTR but I've been to the one-day thing...'I Still Do'.
By the way, my DH and I will celebrate 8 years of marriage tomorrow and...I still do!

My In-laws were quite disgusted (it has been... 5 years??) and keep hinting to my hubby about Direct Tv "deals"... hahaha!! I miss TLC and the Discovery channel too!! I am so sick of channel 10! I get the sick shows like CSI and those types... (I can't stand the sound effects of the bullet piercing the head  for those who do like the show...) Just too much information for me!!!! Why couldn't I have gotten channel 3?? I love PBS! And NPR!!

From JanetupnorthALL of my friends have - it has never worked schedule-wise for us - someday! They all seem to be great! Where did you go to one?
We went to the Poconos in ...late March? It was mind blowing! LOTS of information! The speakers were funny, and relateable.. so good!
My husband (Jason) accepted Jesus as his Savior twice that weekend (guess the first time was to try it out:p ) and we are so changed from it!!
I am a promoter of the conferences (I was so impressed) so I am hoping to get my butt in gear and get a group together and then all of you can get a huge discount on the registration fee!!
I hope to go to Hershey coming up this year in February.. The hotel discounts are great (but you don't spend too much time in the hotel ,really)..

We were great with the TV off (at least when DH isn't home. ;) ) until my brother came up this weekend and brought his Wii system. Then he leant it to us this week to play with since he knows we'd never get one.

I was happy to play :D , yet grumbling about having to yank my kids away from it. I have to say it was quite a workout though! My 3-year-old kicked my butt in tennis and my shoulder hurts today!

Besides my boys and PC , I go to school as a Massage Therapist and I work at a spa too.. I actually get clients now that have Wii syndrome!! seriously!
The tennis and bowling seem to be especially hard on joints.. (Get some ice on it ;) )

I believe it...being an engineer, I was immediately thinking of the ergonomic impact of the game.

I have to play softball tonight and will stretch good then ice. I guess I'm just feeling old after that birthday. :p

Glad to hear that weekend had such an impact on your life!!!! :) That's so awesome!

My sister and I were just saying the same thing...I really need to send them some money and support what they do. The only times I wince at not having more channels is when my parents come to visit...they live way down in South America and still get all the channels I don't. My dad gets some obscure sports channel that airs every single Yankee game. He can't believe it when he's at my house that he's in the United States of America and can not watch a Yankee game on TV. He They really get jipped out at my house! lol :p
