Actually, it isn't new evidence exactly, it is a collection of Paige's personal belongings that were gathered from the site where her remains were found. Even though an autopsy of her skeletal remains were inconclusive as to the cause of her death, the case is considered a homicide and forensics experts are sifting through all the evidence.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Department is being very quiet about what was found and what testing is being done. "We can't lose sight of the fact that this is a homicide case [and] we have one shot to bring this to successful prosecution," Sgt. Matt Lewis with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office said. "It's so vitally important that we take our time, that we do it right, and that we consider any and all possible angles to this."

It is assumed that DNA testing is underway but whether any DNA besides Paige's was found is unknown.

We do know this much: no new suspects have been added to the list, but no old suspects have been eliminated from the list. Lester Ralph Jones remains the only person of interest in the case.

I'm just so glad that Paige's family can begin to get some closure. My prayers continue to be with them. I can't imagine what they're going through.

Thanks for the updates. I think it's good for the investigation to keep it all hush hush until they have all the evidence that they need to make a surprise arrest, otherwise the suspect can get spooked & disappear before an arrest is made. But I can't imagine how hard it must be for the family to wait & not get details about what's happening with the investigation. Hopefully, there will be an arrest & conviction soon!
