Hi everyone, I just got the Gingerbread Train Mold for my son and wanted to know what else I could make in it. I don't have ingredients for gingerbread cookies but he's going insane for it and I want to make him something. Is there anything else I can do in there... pancakes? anything?

thanks in advance

I never did gingerbread in mine (it hangs on the wall ever so pretty now and never sees cookie action anymore...) I always did sugar cookies.

how long and how high did you cook them for? the same as the gingerbread cookies?

thanks so much!

,Hi there! Congratulations on getting the Gingerbread Train Mold for your son, he must be so excited! While it is primarily designed for gingerbread cookies, there are definitely other fun and creative things you can make in it. Pancakes are a great idea - you can use the mold to make fun shaped pancakes and add some sprinkles or chocolate chips for a festive touch. You can also try making mini cakes or brownies in the mold, and decorate them with icing or candy to look like train cars. Another idea is to use the mold as a mold for Jell-O or fruit gelatin. The possibilities are endless! Have fun experimenting and I'm sure your son will love whatever you make for him. Happy cooking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Gingerbread Train Mold used for?

The Gingerbread Train Mold is designed for creating festive gingerbread train pieces that can be assembled into a fun and decorative holiday centerpiece. It allows you to easily shape and bake gingerbread dough into train cars and other components.

How do I prepare the Gingerbread Train Mold before use?

Before using the mold, it's important to thoroughly clean it and then lightly grease it with cooking spray or butter to prevent the gingerbread from sticking. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results.

What type of dough works best with the Gingerbread Train Mold?

A traditional gingerbread dough works best with the Gingerbread Train Mold. Look for a recipe that is firm enough to hold its shape during baking. Avoid overly soft or sticky doughs, as they may not retain the mold's details.

Once the gingerbread pieces are baked and cooled, use royal icing or a thick frosting as glue to assemble the train. Apply icing to the edges of the pieces and hold them together until set. You can also use candies and other decorations to enhance the design.

Can I use the Gingerbread Train Mold for other types of dough?

Yes, the Gingerbread Train Mold can be used with other types of dough, such as cookie dough or fondant, as long as the dough is suitable for molding and baking. Just ensure that the dough can hold its shape and is not too sticky.
