I have been a consultant since July but I have only done a few shows. I want to commit to my business but I just had twins 2 months ago. How would you handle this? any suggestions would be helpful.

Call all your past guests and hosts and see if they want to book a show. Talk to everyone you can. Schedule, schedule, schedule. Write down all your family activities, appointments, etc in your calendar and then figure out from there which days you want to do shows on. I mark mine with a bright pink sticky note.

I agree with wadesgirl. Write down the days you can schedule a show, and then talk to everyone you know about hosting. I would again start out with friends and family (new catalog in March). I would also include in your host packet that you require 2-3 weeks cancelation notice (because if you can only work March 20, you would want to re-book it if you had the chance to).

i was proud of myself today. i had my mary kay lady come over and give me a makeover and i asked her if she had a pc consultant. i would have never usually went out on a limb like that before but i thought "what the heck" i was very proud. she already has one but i asked anyway. :)

I've heard a few great ideas!
1. 24 shows in 24 hours. Get on the phone & in the next 24 hours, book 24 shows. You can say you've been challenged (I just challenged you!!) and was hoping they could help you!
2. look at your calendar and in the next 6 weeks, pick out three week that you can commit to having 2-3 shows EACH of those weeks! That will snowball.....
Good Luck!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I effectively manage my time between my Pampered Chef business and my responsibilities as a mother?

Time management is crucial when balancing a business and motherhood. Create a daily schedule that allocates specific time blocks for your Pampered Chef activities and family time. Use tools like planners or digital calendars to keep track of appointments, parties, and family commitments. Prioritize tasks and set realistic goals to ensure you stay focused and productive.

What strategies can I use to involve my children in my Pampered Chef business?

Involving your children can be a fun way to balance both worlds. Consider letting them assist with simple tasks like organizing products, helping set up for parties, or even taste-testing recipes. This not only helps you but also teaches them valuable skills and the importance of teamwork.

How do I handle guilt about spending time on my business instead of with my kids?

It's natural to feel guilty, but remember that running a business can provide financial benefits and set a positive example for your children. Communicate with them about your work and why it's important. Make sure to carve out quality time for family activities, so they know they are a priority in your life.

What are some tips for setting boundaries between work and family time?

Establish clear boundaries by designating specific work hours and sticking to them. Communicate these hours to your family so they understand when you are available. Create a dedicated workspace to help mentally separate work from home life. When work hours are over, fully engage with your family to ensure they feel valued and prioritized.

How can I find support from other moms in direct sales?

Join online communities or local groups specifically for moms in direct sales. These platforms often provide a space for sharing experiences, advice, and encouragement. Networking with other mothers in similar situations can offer valuable insights and help you feel less isolated in your journey.
