Mystery of the Loop/Hole Side: What Is It For?

I had a customer ask what the end with the loop or hole side was for? I had no idea! I have used the one side to make the score of the peel but don't know what the others side was for?

I actually use the end with the loop to score the orange, or whatever you are scoring, and then use the other end to help peel it.

You can use the loop to remove the pith from the orange. Pith? White part that is stuck in spots on the orange after removing the peel.

I also like to use that part if you are trying to peel the outside peel off of a peach. it takes the skin right off.

I use it to get things out of the mini muffin pan.
