Okay, so I'm using lapboards for the first time at my show tomorrow. I made up a flyer with the guest specials for April and the host specials for April, May and June. Is this okay...can I do this and use it? I sure hope so. :D

Also, for those of you who use lapboards...do you go ahead and put the door prize drawing slip in the lapboard as well? Right now, I've got the flyer in the front clear pocket and a catalog/order form in the inside pocket. I was thinking about adding the door prize slip so it's one less thing to worry about.

Am I missing anything? Sorry...this is the first time, and I know some of you use them frequently. TIA

I have always given the guests the door prize slip at the beginning with thier catalog but I seem to always have them being lost so I am thinking of giving them out at the end when I am done.

I give the slips right at the end of the show right before check-out and pass out a prize to the winner. Maybe it might make someone book from winning or just having fun!:p

My last show was an April Fools Show. I did things backwards. I had the prize slip in the lapboard already and I had them write on the back the "most foolish things theyve ever done in thier kitchen" (I got some pretty x-rated answers - lol) anyway, I had them read them thru-out the show and as they did, I put them in a basket, then at the end - I drew one out and they won a prize. This actually worked really really well. It got the guest talking too which made for a fun show. You could try that with different ideas of things to write on the back.

I put a different special in the back of all my boards some have the recruiting special, some have April. may and June guest and host specials. I put a order form, catalog, pen and door prize slip in every board. (plus whatever game, tip cards, etc we are using)

Frequently Asked Questions

What are guest folders and how can they enhance my Pampered Chef shows?

Guest folders are organized packets that you provide to each attendee at your Pampered Chef shows. They typically include product catalogs, order forms, and information about upcoming promotions. By giving guests a structured way to engage with the products and the business opportunity, you can enhance their experience, encourage interaction, and ultimately increase sales.

What should I include in my guest folders?

Your guest folders should include a variety of materials such as a current product catalog, a host information sheet, an order form, and any promotional flyers. You might also consider adding a personal note or a small sample of a product to make the folder more engaging. Including a checklist of items to bring to the show can also help guests feel prepared and excited.

How can lap boards improve my presentation during a show?

Lap boards provide a convenient surface for guests to take notes, fill out order forms, and engage with the products during your presentation. They can help keep materials organized and accessible, allowing guests to follow along easily. Using lap boards can also create a more interactive environment, encouraging guests to participate and ask questions.

What are some tips for effectively using guest folders and lap boards during my shows?

To maximize the effectiveness of guest folders and lap boards, consider personalizing each folder with the guest's name to make them feel valued. During the show, encourage guests to use their lap boards to jot down questions or product interests. Additionally, make sure to review the contents of the guest folders at the beginning of the show to highlight key information and promote engagement.

How can I follow up with guests after the show using the materials from the guest folders?

After the show, you can use the information gathered from the guest folders, such as contact details and order preferences, to follow up with guests. Send personalized thank-you notes, share additional product information, or remind them of upcoming promotions. This follow-up can help build relationships and encourage repeat business, ultimately leading to greater success in your direct sales efforts.
