I am going Thursday to pitch a fundraiser here at my local library & was looking for some suggestions. My thoughts were just limiting the items to be sold to cookbooks, but I'm open to all ideas out there. I am also thinking that instead of placing the order as a "fundraiser", I'd just give them my commission & take the free products.

What's your opinion?

I've done a fundraiser for my local library, thanks to Gov. Rendell and his budget our local library is now closing on Fridays.

Anyway, what we did, was had library friends and members of board and staff pass catalogs around. They had a "show" at the library and we had lots of fun.

I didn't limit it to any certain product and I did the entire catalog. I've tried to do fundraisers different the way my director does hers and have had issues.

I just finished and submitted a fundraiser for a local little girl who's battling cancer, and our "little" town came through with over $4,250.00 in orders.

Couple of things that are AWESOME with my fundraiser I just did....co-ordinator approaced on of the new oil companies and they are going to MATCH all proceeds of the fundraiser, so what PC donates, what I'm donating will all be matched!!
