I have been losing faith in my business lately. I have had a total of 5 shows for the month of November and except for one the sales and attendance have been really low. I think I am around $1100 if I'm lucky. It makes me wonder if this opportunity is still for me. I still have two shows left this month and need to close 4 of the 5 from the beginning of the month.
I really do LOVE what I do, or else I would not have come back again to PC after being gone for 5 years. I was expecting things to go the way they did when I first started my business 11 years ago. Not to brag, but I was HOT! I started in March, promoted to Future Director and earned a trip to Washington DC for myself. The following year I promoted to Director and earned the trip for two to New Orleans. I also made my $15,000 in career sales in my first 4 or 5 months. I was never hurting for bookings or sales.
Here I am 13 months into my PC career again, and I haven't made my $15,000 in sales and have done less than 30 shows. It has been very disappointing and frustrating to me. However, alot has changed since I first started 11 years ago. I went through a divorce, got married and had two more children, for a total of 3. I live on a small working farm and work full-time. Also, every other week, I have to be to work at 5:30 am so I can pick my oldest up from school in the afternoon and then drive 1 1/2 hour home. Plus, my DH actually likes to have me around.
I get really exicted about the specials and opportunities this company has to offer and really want to be doing PC full-time when my youngest who is 2 starts school in 4 years. I am going to change my show schedule in January so that I am not away from home two nights in a row. I'm really psyched about the specials for January and February. I hope this is just pitty me phase I'm going through right now.
Thanks for "listening" and letting me vent!
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
