My director gave me a list of leads to follow up on from a Bridal Book she subscribes to. Some of the leads are up to a year old. So far I've come across one who is no longer engaged, and another who left her husband after 3 months and is getting divorced. What do you say after something like that other than "I'm sorry to hear that....bye"?

How old is this list? If the one couple has already married and getting divorced after 3 months....doesn't sound like very fresh leads?

Some are and some aren't. I saw some from Jan of 2007! I made sure to call all of the ones from 2008 first. Maybe I'll just send the registry brochure or an email from the website to the older ones...

If many of them are married already, I'd probably just send a Host Flyer instead, maybe a mini catalog. They're probably not interested in the wedding registry anymore, but they may want to have a party and get some free stuff for their new home together!

Do any of them live here:Toucy is a French commune situated in the Yonne département, in the région of Bourgogne. It was the hometown of Pierre Larousse, creator of one of the most highly regarded French dictionaries, Le Petit Larousse.

Tee hee!:D

I did a bridal faire once where the only contact I got back was one lady that told me the wedding was cancelled..... and mine were fresh leads. I agree, just address them as hosting leads.

Most of the weddings haven't happened yet, they're scheduled for July. I figured that if I got another one of those, I'd just say "sorry to hear that...would it be ok to send you some host information and a catalog?"

Frequently Asked Questions

What are old bridal leads?

Old bridal leads refer to potential customers who have previously shown interest in purchasing products for their wedding or bridal events but have not made a purchase. These leads may include individuals who attended bridal shows, responded to marketing campaigns, or signed up for newsletters related to wedding planning.

Why is it important to navigate old bridal leads with care?

Navigating old bridal leads with care is crucial because these individuals may still have a strong interest in wedding-related products. Approaching them thoughtfully can help build relationships, provide personalized service, and ultimately convert them into customers. Careful navigation also respects their previous interest and avoids coming off as pushy or intrusive.

What strategies can I use to reconnect with old bridal leads?

To reconnect with old bridal leads, consider sending personalized follow-up emails or messages that reference their previous interest. Offering special promotions, sharing new product launches, or providing helpful wedding planning tips can also engage them. Additionally, hosting virtual or in-person events can create opportunities for interaction and rekindling interest.

How can I personalize my communication with old bridal leads?

Personalizing communication with old bridal leads involves addressing them by name and referencing specific details about their wedding plans or previous interactions. You can also tailor your messages based on their interests, such as suggesting products that align with their wedding theme or budget. This approach shows that you value them as individuals and not just as potential sales.

What should I avoid when reaching out to old bridal leads?

When reaching out to old bridal leads, avoid being overly aggressive or sales-focused in your communication. Steer clear of generic messages that lack personalization, as they can come off as insincere. Additionally, be mindful of their time and preferences; if they have opted out of communications in the past, respect their wishes and do not contact them again.
