Hi everyone! I have a host that wants to do a kid-friendly pancake breakfast type show. She has two small children along with friends that have children that she is hoping to include. Her show is at 10:30 am. I've never done an morning show, just evenings....any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Do one big pancake in the bar pan! Pour in your batter, and bake for about 10 minutes....at 400, I think.

Then, have the kids top their pancakes with sliced bananas, chopped strawberries, cool whip in the EAD.

I make blueberry syrup in a prep bowl for DS - 1/3 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen) and maple syrup (the real stuff) just to the top of the blueberries, a splash of vanilla, a splash of lemon juice, and a shake of cinnamon. Pop it in the microwave for 30-60 seconds (until the blueberries burst). YUMMY!

wow - this is a great idea!!!

I make blueberry syrup in a prep bowl for DS - 1/3 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen) and maple syrup (the real stuff) just to the top of the blueberries, a splash of vanilla (PC Vanilla!), a splash of lemon juice (use the citrus press), and a shake of cinnamon (PC cinnamon!). Pop it in the microwave for 30-60 seconds (until the blueberries burst). YUMMY! A larger batch of this could be made in the small batter bowl, or on top of the stove in the 1 or 2 qt. sauce pan.

Okay - I should expand on this!

Make sure to point out that by making your batter the evening before and leaving it in the GREAT Classic Batter Bowl, with it's handy lid, in the fridge over night they will have fluffier pancakes. And no need to worry about the mess with the WONDERFUL spout and scrapers! I second the suggestion about the stone!
You could do one minute omlets in the prep bowls and make sure and take a juicer for fresh OJ!
Did anyone mention the Flour/Sugar Shaker?

When u leave it in the frig over night, it doesn't make the batter and pancakes real thick? I always add more milk to mine if I leave it in the frig. But if not adding to it makes them fluffy I need to try that!

I love light and fluffy pankcakes but mine are always thick and unfluffy! I rarely make them b/c of this.

I must be honest I don't eat pancakes. Hate them! No one in my family is really fond of them. However, my director swears by it and since she said that I read it somewhere. If I remember where I'll let you know.
Try it and let us know!

IF I get brave enough to try to make them again I will let u know, ha!:D I love my mom's pancakes but do not like mine at all. Which by the way I have made them with her on the phone telling me what to do. But I guess that is one of those "nothing is as good as mom's" things.

Our local grocery, Wegmans, publishes a Quarterly magazine, and the Summer issue had
a recipe that I have made 3 times because it is so healthy. It would be a great brunch item because it uses our Ultimate Mandoline for the Zucchini, Forged Cutlery Boning knife
for the cooked corn on the cob, our Easy Read measuring cups for the dry and wet ingred, as well as our Italian seasonings, and then, of course our Griddles. I also use the
medium scoop to get the batter from the Classic Batter bowl to the griddle. The little pancakes are 3" across and the recipe makes 18 to 20. It is so healthy and different.
I can hardly wait for breakfasts these days.

Um, Rita....you can't give us that much, and then not give the recipe! (please?:o)

This sounds great!!! I have a few moms that would love to do a show with their kids and this would be so fun!! Thanks for the idea!!

Thank you for the ideas! I just have one little question as I have never had fresh orange juice....do I need to add anything after I use the juicer? Or is it sweet enough? What kind of oranges should I have my host buy?

I'd be tempted to use the quick-stir for OJ & make fresh lemonade using the citrus press or juicer (and the utility knife to add lemon slices to the lemonade.you could also do fresh fruit kabobs, using the creative cutters. (you could even use the bbq skewer set.)serve your blueberry syrup in SA small bowls with small bamboo spoons :)
