Has anyone else had this problem? I had replaced one carafe because the chrome flaked and the new one leaks from the bottom. I tried to tighten the bottom, but I am afraid to break it. Any advice?

Do an adjustment. I'd also call HO test kitchens and ask about tightening the bottom before you do it so you have that defense if you break it.

I had a customer with this- and we've had a tricky time accomplishing the return only on her end (no receipt, bought it on a friend's order...)NO MORE friends helping friends on shipping - host your own show and get Free Shipping!

I've had 1 person, we sent it back & the 2nd 1 is leaking. Another said her old one kept things hot for a long time. The new doesn't.....

I will be sure to call HO. I am sure I have a receipt on PP.Scott: UGH! Those are so frustrating... just to save a few bucks. I get it, but it costs you in the long run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my Pampered Chef carafe leaking from the bottom due to a manufacturing defect?

While manufacturing defects can occur, leaks from the bottom of the carafe are often due to improper assembly or wear and tear. It's important to check the seal and ensure that all parts are correctly fitted. If you suspect a defect, contact Pampered Chef customer service for assistance.

How can I tell if the leak is coming from the bottom seal?

To determine if the leak is from the bottom seal, fill the carafe with water and observe closely. If water is pooling at the bottom, inspect the seal for any visible damage or misalignment. You can also run your fingers around the base to feel for moisture.

What should I do if the carafe is leaking from the bottom?

If your carafe is leaking, first ensure that it is properly assembled. Check the rubber seal and make sure it is clean and undamaged. If the seal is worn out, consider replacing it. If the problem persists, reach out to Pampered Chef for guidance or possible replacement options.

Can I use my leaking carafe until I can fix it?

It is not advisable to use a leaking carafe, as it can lead to spills and potential damage to surfaces. It's best to address the leak before using the carafe again to avoid further issues.

Are there any DIY fixes for a leaking carafe?

For minor leaks, you can try tightening the base or replacing the rubber seal if it appears worn. Additionally, ensure that the carafe is clean and free of debris that could affect the seal. However, if the leak continues, it's best to consult with Pampered Chef for professional advice or replacement options.
