Very informative!!!!!!!

If you don't have a GUN, here's a more humane way to wreck someone's evil plans for you.

Did you know this? I didn't. I never really thought of it before.

Wasp Spray
A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them when they were counting the collection.

She asked the local police department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that she get a can of wasp spray instead.

The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office and it doesn't attract attention from people like a can of pepper spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection.
Thought this was interesting and might be of use.

On the heels of a break-in and beating that left an elderly woman in Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save your life.

Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at Sylvania Southview High School. For decades, he's suggested putting a can of wasp and hornet spray near your door or bed.

Glinka says, "This is better than anything I can teach them."

Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than mace or pepper spray. The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so if someone tries to break into your home, Glinka says "spray the culprit in the eyes". It's a tip he's given to students for decades.

It's also one he wants everyone to hear. If you're looking for protection, Glinka says look to the spray.

"That's going to give you a chance to call the police; maybe get out." Maybe even save a life.

Please share this with all the people in your life, especially those who are vulnerable or alone.

WOW!!! Thanks for sharing.....:D

I could just see the headlines: "Homeowner Sued by Intruder for Blinding Him with Wasp Spray." And the intruder wins the lawsuit.

But on an more positive note, that IS good information. Thanks for sharing!

What do you do if your attacker isn't a White Anglo Saxon Protestant?

Frequently Asked Questions

Is wasp spray effective for self-defense compared to pepper spray?

Wasp spray can be effective in certain situations due to its ability to temporarily incapacitate an attacker by causing irritation to the eyes and respiratory system. However, it is not specifically designed for self-defense, and its effectiveness can vary. Pepper spray is formulated specifically for self-defense and is generally more reliable and effective in deterring an attacker.

Are there legal issues with using wasp spray for self-defense?

Using wasp spray for self-defense can lead to legal complications, as it is not intended for that purpose. Many jurisdictions have laws regulating the use of self-defense weapons, and using a product outside of its intended use may result in legal consequences. It is advisable to check local laws regarding self-defense tools.

What are the main differences between wasp spray and pepper spray?

The primary difference is their intended use: wasp spray is designed to kill insects, while pepper spray is formulated for self-defense. Pepper spray contains capsaicin, which causes intense pain and temporary blindness, while wasp spray may not have the same level of effectiveness and can be less reliable in a self-defense situation.

Can wasp spray cause long-term harm to an attacker?

While wasp spray can cause temporary irritation, it is not designed to cause long-term harm. In contrast, pepper spray is specifically formulated to incapacitate an attacker without causing permanent damage. Using wasp spray could potentially lead to unintended consequences, including legal repercussions.

Is it safer to carry pepper spray instead of wasp spray for self-defense?

Yes, carrying pepper spray is generally considered safer and more effective for self-defense. Pepper spray is designed for this purpose, making it a more reliable option in threatening situations. Additionally, it is often easier to carry and use than wasp spray, which may not be as accessible in a self-defense scenario.
