Do you think this email sounds ok --I've tried calling this customer Several times...(no returned call...and now I just sent her this email)...

---???

Hello Sandra,

I hope you are having a great day.

I've tried contacting you a few times via phone and we haven't been able to connect. I'm very excited to help you in having your own fun Pampered Chef cooking show and have scheduled your show on my calendar to work for the date of April THUR 10th!

It would be most helpful for me to hear back from you so we can begin the planning process to help the show be as successful as possible, and for me to secure the date for your show.

If I don't hear from you in a week's time ( by next Tuesday), I won't be able to know for certain that we're on for your show, so if you could simply reply or give me a call, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll open that date as a slot for another potential show, as this is my business and I'm just trying to keep my calendar and works schedule flowing.

Warmly,

Heather Heuman

Sounds good to me!! Best of luck & I hope she replies.

Something about the "this is my business" line would rub me the wrong way. I would simply say that you'll reserve that date for another show. Pressure her into thinking you've got lots of bookings and dates are in limited supply! But then again, what do I know? My first show is this weekend!

I would change works schedule to work, but otherwise it looks good to me.

Maybe even if you worded it as "my job" or something instead of business.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I consider when evaluating if my email to a potential show host is too pushy?

Consider the tone of your email, the language you use, and how you present your offer. Ensure that your message is friendly and inviting rather than aggressive. It's important to focus on the benefits for the host and their guests rather than just pushing for a sale.

How can I make my email more inviting without being pushy?

To make your email more inviting, use a warm and friendly tone. Personalize the message by mentioning something specific about the potential host or their interests. Highlight the fun aspects of hosting a show and the benefits they will receive, such as free products or exclusive discounts.

What phrases should I avoid to prevent sounding pushy in my email?

Avoid phrases like "You must host a show" or "Don't miss out!" Instead, use softer language such as "I would love to help you host a show" or "Have you considered hosting? It could be a lot of fun!" This approach feels more like an invitation than a demand.

How can I gauge the interest of a potential host before sending a follow-up email?

Before sending a follow-up email, try to engage in a conversation with the potential host. Ask open-ended questions about their interest in cooking or entertaining. If they express enthusiasm, it’s a good sign that they may be open to hosting a show.

What are some signs that my email might be perceived as too pushy?

Signs that your email might be perceived as too pushy include receiving short or vague responses, lack of engagement, or no response at all. If the recipient seems overwhelmed or uninterested, it may indicate that your approach was too aggressive. Adjust your tone and approach accordingly in future communications.
