When people say they just don't have time to do a cooking show ( I was trained to ask when v if, lol) I offer them the opportunity to pass a catalog around to some friends. I tell them 150 gets them the host special and $200.00 gets the ( fill in the blank) item they circled on their product sheet. I mean hey! That's basically a catalog around work/church group/ family/ bunco group... you get the idea.... AND then they get 10% off the rest of the year. I send a little "show to go" invitation via email that I will be glad to share once my regular PC gets de-virused. ( ICK AND EEK!)
They are not always huge, but they add up. I think sometimes consultants forget that the "no not yet" might mean ," ok I could pass a catty around right now and do a cooking show later," kind of thing. I hope that made sense!
