How Much Does One Catty in a Catty Envelope Weigh?

In summary, a catty envelope is a traditional Chinese unit of measurement for weight, equivalent to approximately 500 grams or 1.1 pounds. It is commonly used in Chinese herbal medicine and traditional cooking, as well as in trade and commerce in some Asian countries. However, it is not an official unit of measurement and is less precise compared to other units such as kilograms and pounds.

I know all you folks with your own scales know this...can you save me the agony of trying to figure it out? :yuck:

TIA!!

I don't know how much it weighs but do know it costs $1.51 to mail out a catty with envelope! :)

It's just under 4 ounces, so you have to pay 4 oz. postage.
