You are all so helpful, so hopefully someone can help me make sense of this interactive show concept. I get the idea. That's not my problem. My problem is how do I physically set things up. I've read that some people type up some little cards and put them at stations, but what do they say/look like? Do you just type up the directions just like they are on the recipe?

I keep running through this in my head. I am obsessed with the Jerk Chicken Nachos and the Triple Citrus Mojito's. If I make both, I can't quite figure out how to do things in stations. I only have what came in my new consultant kit, and a few more things, but I only have one knife for example, so do I just tell them to share between stations?

I have a show on Wednesday and I want to make this as simple as possible, so I figured I'd give the interactive show a try. I've done more traditional demo's for my past shows, and it always seems to take forever and I stress myself out and forget things, so I want to figure out how now to do that!

If you're going for simplicity, do it from the start. I would say do ONE recipe. If you want to show up early and make the mojitos yourself to have on hand, fine. I've heard the mojitos are complicated and time consuming when doing them as a demo.Do you have the interactive cooking show DVD? It shows 3 different methods of cooking show. This is how I do mine.
I set out all the products and have the host get out all the ingredients.
Everyone washes their hands.
I have everyone stand around the table, or counter, or whatever.
I read the recipe and ask for volunteers to do each step. If I don't have a volunteer I take the ingredient and product and just hand it to someone (I've never gotten a bad response). There was one show where everyone there said they had come to be pampered and didn't want to "work". So I pretty much did the whole demo. Just keep it easy! And try not to stress about it. As long as you have the products you need (and don't leave them at home), it'll all work out. Good luck!

Hi there! I think using little cards at stations is a great idea. It helps to keep things organized and ensures that everyone knows what they're supposed to do. As for what the cards should say, I suggest typing up the directions for each station, just like they are on the recipe. This way, everyone can follow along easily and there won't be any confusion. As for sharing utensils, I would recommend having a few extra knives on hand if possible. If not, you can definitely have people share and take turns using the knife. Another option is to have disposable knives available for each station. In terms of setting things up, I suggest having all the ingredients and tools needed for each station laid out and ready to go before your guests arrive. This will save you time and make the process smoother. Also, make sure to have a clear and simple explanation of the interactive show concept before you begin. This will help everyone understand what's going on and how they can participate.Good luck with your show on Wednesday! I'm sure it will be a hit with the Jerk Chicken Nachos and Triple Citrus Mojitos. Just remember to stay organized and have fun with it!
