Sounds a bit like I am infested.

In the UK we have nothing like this at all.Is there someone here who has done this type of show and would be prepared to mail me a basic rundown of how its done as I need to condense something down into a bitesize chunk as I am booked for a pregnancy through preschool to starting school show and they are trying to get more child friendly stuff going on as there is a lot of pregnancy and baby stuff about and not a lot else.

HELP!!!!

I don't quite understand your question. Are you just wondering how someone does a Cooking class with kids? if so, check out this thread (Kids Cooking Class Email). There are alot of ideas and a few documents that might help get you started or give you some ideas. I don't know how different things are between US and UK, but I'm sure you can modify where needed.Hope that helps. I myself am going to try to add this into my themes offered, so I can't offer any practical experience yet.
Good luck!

I just sent you a PM with the details of what I do.

PCChefJane,
Can you send me the same please? Thanks in advance if you can do this for me!

I have PM'd you too as am in the UK and have just started doing 'kid orientated' cooking shows!

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I involve my kids in meal preparation?

Involving your kids in meal preparation can be as simple as assigning them specific tasks based on their age and skill level. Younger children can help wash vegetables, stir ingredients, or set the table, while older kids can assist with chopping, measuring, and following recipes. Make it a fun activity by letting them choose a recipe or ingredient to include in the meal.

What are some kid-friendly recipes to try?

Kid-friendly recipes often include simple, hands-on activities. Consider making homemade pizzas, where kids can add their favorite toppings, or create colorful fruit skewers. Other fun options include tacos, where they can assemble their own, or baking cookies, allowing them to decorate with icing and sprinkles.

How can I make cooking a fun learning experience?

Turn cooking into a learning experience by incorporating lessons about nutrition, measurements, and cooking techniques. Use a recipe to teach fractions when measuring ingredients or discuss where food comes from. You can also create a themed cooking night, such as "Italian Night," where kids learn about Italian culture while preparing a meal.

What tools can help make cooking with kids easier?

Using kid-friendly kitchen tools can make cooking easier and safer. Look for utensils with ergonomic designs, such as child-sized knives, measuring cups with easy-to-read markings, and non-slip cutting boards. Pampered Chef offers a variety of tools that are perfect for kids, such as their kid-safe knives and fun-shaped cookie cutters.

How can I keep the kitchen organized while cooking with kids?

To keep the kitchen organized while cooking with kids, set up a designated workspace for them with all the necessary ingredients and tools. Use clear containers to store ingredients and label them for easy access. Encourage your kids to clean as they go by putting away items after use, which helps maintain order and teaches responsibility.
