Another PC gal recently mentioned something about purchasing one item on a hostess's order so that she could get both the 25%-30% host discount as well as the commission. Is that really how it works? For some reason I thought the host's order was non-commissionable. Newbie here. :o

Any amount that is purchased on the host order using the discount is commissionable, as long as you as a consultant aren't the host. You do not get commission on free, half priced or host specials.

The free, half priced, and host specials are non-commissionable. Items ordered under the host discount would be commissionable.

Thank you, Shana & Jackie!

But am I correct in assuming that if anything broke, the consultant would have to go through the host to get the item replaced since there would only be one receipt?

Thanks again! :D

You as the consultant could handle the adjustment, just have it shipped to your address rather than the host.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "Host's Order -- Non-Comissionable" mean?

"Host's Order -- Non-Comissionable" refers to the portion of a host's order that does not generate commission for the consultant. This typically includes discounted or free items that hosts earn through hosting a party.

Why are host orders considered non-commissionable?

Host orders are considered non-commissionable because they are rewards for hosting a party rather than sales generated by the consultant. The company provides these benefits to encourage hosting, and thus they do not count towards the consultant's commissionable sales.

How can I maximize my earnings if host orders are non-commissionable?

To maximize your earnings, focus on increasing the overall sales volume of your parties. The more sales you generate, the higher your commission on the remaining commissionable items. Encourage hosts to invite more guests and promote higher-value products to boost total sales.

Are there any exceptions to the non-commissionable status of host orders?

Generally, host orders are non-commissionable, but it's essential to check with your specific direct sales company guidelines. Some companies may have promotions or special circumstances where certain host orders could be commissionable.

How do host rewards impact my overall sales performance?

Host rewards can significantly impact your overall sales performance by incentivizing more parties and larger orders. While host orders themselves may not be commissionable, they can lead to increased sales from guests, which will contribute to your overall commission and performance metrics.
